That was a decent scrap. Haye got a bs standing eight on Solis in the first, and then Solis got pissed and stopped Haye. I want to see a rematch in the pro ranks.Comment

It's sick, really.Comment

They're just mad that most people actually give Solis credit for being a tough heavyweight unlike most recent Klitschko opponents. And in order to get back at all of us for daring to question the quality of the brother's opposition they **** all over Solis.
It's sick, really.
Your logic is what's "sick."
If I wanted to make Vitali look even better than he already does, I would be dishonestly singing Solis's praises to the skies, so that when VK destroys him, he gets even more credit.
But I'm not going to pretend to be very impressed by Solis, even though I am obviously a big Vitali fan.
I am noting, however, that a few people do seem to be highly impressed by Solis, so I will be watching to see if you give Vitali the credit for it when he wins, or if you turn around and dismiss Solis as a fat, lazy, disinterested bum (more likely).Comment

It is well known that Vitali gets insulted when people show up fat against
him and he loves to punish them for it.
He destroyed donut-munching Kirk Johnson, who never recovered from it.
He pounded Danny Williiams senseless.
He made Arreola cry in the ring.
And now he's going to punish Solis for being a lazy fat boy who disrespects boxing.
I almost feel sorry for Solis, he seems a bit slow, a little fat ******ed fella with his little Sponge Bob friend he carries with him.
Solis could have been a real fighter but one look at him shows his lack of discipline and without that what does a fighter truly have. Talent means nothing without discipline and that is why the Klitschko's are better than the rest beyond talent.Comment

The problem is, he isn't always up like that for every fight.
Solis struggled with Austin, who was literally ready to go from about the latter half of round one onwards.
Solis still couldn't put Ray away. He gassed after one early flurry and never really recovered.
Substitute the Barrett who fought Tua for Austin, and Solis would have been lucky to win. Barrett was in supreme condition that night (I was there at ringside and was surprised -- I had expected a quick KO by Tua) and Solis looked just horrible against Austin.
Solis is delusional telling himself that it doesn't matter that he's a pig and that he's actually in great shape.
Vitali will burst his delusional bubble big-time.Last edited by ChopperRead; 02-14-2011, 05:34 PM.Comment

Not entirely. Barrett was in amazing shape for Tua and was very focused.

Well, the bookmakers agree with me, anyway -- I was looking at some odds and Solis was as much as 9/1 underdog as of yesterday.Comment
