when was Ali's prime? His best win was against Foreman and shortly after that he was knocked down and taken 15 rounds by Chuck "bleeder" Wepner, a guy who had more fights in YMCA's then he had wins. If it was that Ali, he would be slow and Peter would be able to catch him and then it really would just depend if he his the right spot. If its pre-exile ali, then he stands no chance, his chin would be too weak to handle the power a true HW would have. Which I'd highly doubt would lose to "FAT" Muhammad Ali..

Let's face it..

Muhammad Ali to Eddie Chambers.. A comparison...

Chambers is about as built as Ali. He is smaller in stature and also thus a bit lighter. Ali is a bigger person naturally than Chambers of course.

Chambers and Ali are quite comparable in speed.

Ali would have been the stronger of the 2, atleast in terms of him in the 70's.

Chins would be rather comparable.

Neither can crack an egg with their power, Ali might get the nob here too since he's bigger.

BUT..

Ali was a renowned punch bag with absolutely no reflexes. His ability to win was dependant on the weakness of his opponents, by letting them punch themselves out on his body.

Chambers was a defensive master who bent around shots and enabled him to survive in his far harder hitting era without brain damage. He was also a good counter puncher whereas Ali relied more on back pedalling or wrestling, when in range he has hit at will.

It's exactly THIS strategy that allowed him (Chambers) to steal it from Peter and exactly Ali's strategy (of punch baggery) that would be his undoing against Peter.

No way would he survive countless bombs from Peter like he did Frazier.. And we are talking about the "prime" Peter here of course right?

No no no, Muhammad doesn't get away with this one.

Muhammad loses to ALL SuperFrazier's.. He couldn't even properly handle the prototype version. Some fans these days even give the edge to Frazier 2 out of the 3 fights!
