Actually, I'm starting to see the Hatton-Duran comparison more and more. Obviously - OBVIOUSLY - a different class of fighter, but Hatton does try to get out of the way of return fire. He had really quick reflexes and he could usually rely on his athleticism to get him out of the way of punches. It's why Floyd couldn't miss him. Same thing happened with Hamed and Barrera. You can't just rely on athleticism against a world class fighter. But I would argue that Hatton is stronger than Duran. He was freakishly strong at 140 and still very strong at 147. Floyd was just more skilled on the inside and Ricky couldn't turn him.
i would agree that duran-hatton could be the most arguable of the 3 cuz hearns-pwill and jcc-tata are out of control.Comment

idk but 4 some reason, gamboa is like a featherweight version of tyson imo. they arent alike at all but when i see him fight, i always think of iron mike.Comment

duran works his way in with head movement and the jab, ricky just tries to duck or rush his way in for the most part. duran also actually tries to block some return fire.
mayweather also held A LOT in that fight. Hatton is not as strong as duran either- at all.
just because guys like to put their head in another guy's chest and throw punches doesn't mean they should be compared.Comment

He'd get shoved around at 160. But Duran filled out better than Hatton did. Hatton was throwing Urango around like a ragdoll at the beginning of their fight.Comment

He wasn't strong vs collazo or Floyd. He was short and of average strength. There's no comparison as duran was able to fight some of the strongest 154, 60, and 68 guys of his time.Comment

Filled out is slang for wasn't strong enough and didn't have the body for. Hatton was clearly not built for any weight over 140. CLEARLY.
