Man I couldn't agree more, I don't know why he didn't do it. A guy like Maidana isn't a natural boxer and I think when push comes to shove, he's going to do what he does best and that's brawl.

Cotto on the other hand just needs a few tweeks here and there that a guy like Nacho can do for him. He's probably the most technical trainer in the game today and that's not taking anything away from guys like Roach or Robert Garcia.

Plus moving to Mexico, where he isn't known and doesn't have distractions would have put Cotto into beast mode.

I know most think that Capa was a better fit, due to the type of style that Maidana fights with. But let us just stop and think for a second..............What if Nacho, can actually change Maidana up and add a healthy dose of technicality to his fight game? Could you imagine a ****er like Maidana, with bonified technical skills and increased ring IQ????????? This could be a dangerous hook up for the rest of the 140lb division.

graica would have been a better trainer for maidana then nacho but this is the first time in along time that a non mexican fighter went afther a mexican trainer which shows me maidana is going to do what ever it takes to improve himself.i got to give props for trying.

He is a good trainer in deed, but ****ing did he choose Morales?
Doesn't present a huge threat but is game and it's a good chance to test out what he's learnt I guess?

Holy **** balls that's some news right there. Nacho will make him focus on them body shots to really wear down opponents. For the k.o. Can't wait to see his sharpened skills

Maidana hiring nacho = ricky hatton hiring floyd sr.= lipstick on a pig.

You cant change a tiger's stripe that quickly. Just look at pac & roach for example. it literally took years for pac to eventually evolve from one handed brawler into what he is right now.
