Good choice for now just because morales is a tuney but hopefuly nacho works with madaina style and makes him more diverse

nacho beristan..miguel diaz...eh not a big difference...maidana only knows one speed and one direction and thats fast forward..if he wanted to learn something different he shoudla went to freddie or steward..all nacho is gonna do is try to make a juanma 2.0..and thats not happening.

Exactly why, I figured him to be the best option for Maidana. He's proven that he can work very well with offensive fighters and is the very rare trainer that can bring out quick results.

MAB for the Hamed and his 126 reign, Izzy Vazquez for Marquez 2 and 3 (after the 1st, when Freddie told him to retire), and Barrios (was it for the Juarez fight? Jorge showed some good polished boxing in that fight, until he realized he was going to get robbed in Houston getting BS point deductions and had to start throwing nonstop).

good move. nacho is a true "boxers" and boxing fan's trainer. a true appreciator of the sweet science, and a true gentleman. I don't think he is expecting to do anything drastic to Maidana's style, but I can see him helping Maidana with is timing, and from walking into so many damn punches. Maidana has great foot speed, and dexterity, it's just his inability to transition his combination punches, and of course, defense.

Smart move by Maidana. At least he is trying to better himself. And hey, just a little more polish and he might have knocked off Amir. I love Morales but I saw it as sending a lamb to the slaughter with fighting Maidana when it was first announced and I don't see it any different now. I just hope Morales doesn't get hurt because if Maidana can do anything, it's punch and punch hard...

                      this ain't gonna work.

maidana isn't gonna learn new tricks in one training camp.

nacho better just get maidana in tip top condition
