Will Mayweather now fight at 154lbs to avoid Pacquiao?

Pacquiao goes to Showtime, Mayweather comes out a week later saying that he will stay with HBO.

Now Pacquiao says he will not fight at light-middle again, it will not surprise me in the slightest that Mayweather will come out and say that he going to fight at light-middle or try and get Pacquiao to fight him at light-middle.

Lets see what happens, and lets see who is right and wrong.

How long have been following boxing? Mayweather already fought Oscar at 154. Why is it that most Manny fans don't know anything beyond the last five years. And please move on from Manny and Floyd, for this argument was relevant about a year or two ago.

so what your saying is u rather have manny defend his 135 and 140 title against less competitive fighters that will get run down quick by manny? and if this was the case then people will ***** on manny again for not going up in weight to fight more competitive fighters... its never gonna end for manny, the ones that discredit him will always feel the same way regardless of his accomplishments in the future.. theres always gonna be the ones that said he didnt fight this guy or that guy, etc. after all his accomplishments i dont see how one can discredit the guy for the things he has done.. this dude never brags about his accomplishments or has he ever said that his opponents were easy win..

No I am not trying to say he ducked anyone. That is your paranoia! If I was going to say that I would type it directly. No, he didn't duck Zahir Raheem or anyone like that. He didn't have the stones to defend his title.

Plain and simple he didn't defend his title. Great champions are made defending the title, not winning it. It's not about the "name".

Cotto signed for it because it was his highest career payday. You know this. Besides, floyd, manny's only real contemporary, NEVER made the champ fight at a catchweight when he moved up. Takes some shine off a little IMO>

I don't want or care if Manny loses. I want Manny to fight top quality fighters at their true weight, so I can get a more accurate sense of how good he is. Fighting only top rank guys at catchweight doesn''t make this possible.
