Actually I dont see how that is a bad thing. What I dont like is how in boxing, if you lose one match, you're automatically considered shot, glass jawed, fading, exposed, etc....

In mma/ufc, you atleast get a chance to redeem yourself on the big stage and you're not automatically written off.

I know that. I go to an mma club 3 times a week. which is why Im not excited about the fights tonight, that are going to be boxing/striking based. It wont be very high skill, comparatively to high level striking.

I prefer guys like Kawajiri and Dan Henderson, who have a few hard punches but are primarily groundnpound based.

think about it: why bother watching two mediocre guys striking in an mma match, when I can simply watch two better guys strike in a pure stirking sport? same as grappling.
You dont find groundnpound in any other sport though, which is why I prefer watching those types of matches the most.

Now as stated in my first post, i'm a boxing fan before anything else, but it can be VERY frustrating being a fan at the same time. Now there's plenty of ways to bash mma/ufc, but one thing is for sure......those are some happy ass fans! They get the fights that are suppose to happen, and the best fight the best.
They fight whoever is in the promotion. its just like TR keeping it all in house.

well sometimes they go over board like the guy whos fighting tonight i forgot his name but he has gotten tons of chanches and after he got hummiliated by silva i think he should have to work his way back up instead of getting more undercard fights on ppv. And like with their stars they loose a fight and their next fight is the main event of a ppv like with machida. And il bet he will get another shot and maybe headline again. That kinda off stuff i what i dont like.

That's news to me. Silva is actually a pretty likeable guy and arguably the pfp#1 fighter in all of MMA.

I've been wondering who would give this Silva guy a better competition. Most of the fighters he beat are veterans of the sport. He makes it look so easy. I can't miss this fight.
