Actually I dont see how that is a bad thing. What I dont like is how in boxing, if you lose one match, you're automatically considered shot, glass jawed, fading, exposed, etc....

In mma/ufc, you atleast get a chance to redeem yourself on the big stage and you're not automatically written off.

I agree. I do like that fighters who have been defeated are given the chance to build themselves back up to get a shot at the champ. Without being called the names that you mentioned.

In MMA, I think their hardcore fans have a healthier understanding of styles making fights. A striker losing in one match can come in for a rematch utilizing more ground techniques if needed and most fans would respect and give him a chance for that.

However, some past fights they've had with nog, liddell, and wanderlei being labeled as important fights annoyed me because some of these guys have been well passed it and haven't even showed any attempt at adapting their style(liddell).

I am worried that whoever loses the montiel/donaire fight will be labeled a bum. which will be the farthest thing from the truth.

I've only seen one not so good fight from him, I think it was his last fight, he was losing but then got a submission. All his other fights, I was entertained.

anderson silva got K.o'd in boxing by a guy that would be mopping floors at my gym. Im not even a boxer just a hobbyist and id grab my nuts then slap the **** out of anderson, he has terrible hands.

The standup in MMA is a joke, the whole sports a joke. Its just grapplers trying to pretend they can fight.

In reality, boxing as a whole from the fighters all the way up to the networks are doing a pretty good job of thrashing itself.

hahaha.your whole statement is a joke.silva would not just be trying to punch you.he'd be kicking, kneeing, elbowing you.Yea he does have bad hands according to boxing standards, but the last time i checked he's an MMA fighter who specializes in muay thai and jiu-jitsu.
