kinda like martinez right???
Sergio record was 0-1-1 in championship fights at 154, and was fedex the belt (when he never beat anyone for it in the first place).
He had a chance against dzinziruk a prior to the pavlik and williams bout but he pretended he didn't even know who sergei was (even though he has been top 3 at that class for a few years).
In reality, the only true champ at 154 is miguel cotto. That's a fact that i have stood by for the longest.
I am not biased, i am across the board on everyone...
But martinez will not catch too much grief from me because he went up over 154 and won there as well!!!
And was willing to come back down to 154 and fight manny as well.
Manny never had any plans whatsoever to fight at 154... As he has never fought at 154, and he has a title at 154...
This makes things a little bit more ri****ulous for manny in my opinion.
But once again even so that 8th division title is still tagged to his name.
Showing you the clear ******ation of most people...
People even try to defend it lol.Comment

Well, at least now Pacquiao won't have to listen to people saying he is ducking Sergio Martinez by not agreeing to fight him at 155 lbs (which Sergio suggested would be the lowest weight he could go). I don't look at that Margarito fight as a title fight or anything other than a bout with a limit of 150 lbs to test the waters. He won the bout but took some hard punishment in the process and decided that was one division too high. Also, he weighed 144 lbs for the weigh in and only 148 lbs day of the fight. Manny made the right decision to not campaign over the 147 lb limit...Comment

Well I've always said that 154 is a division loaded with gift-wrapped champions etc. It seems every fights for a vacate title or fights a guy who just won a vacate strap.
Off topic....I really hope Ryan Rhodes gets his shot at the WBC strap because dude has defiantly paid his dues.Comment

It just doesn't stop with Pacquiao.....
There is always an issue, always a controversy, always some cloud hanging over either Manny himself or his opponent
What a fkn hype-job.Comment

Actually if you listen to Sergio's speech right after he beat P-Will, he states that 155 lbs is the lowest he could go for a bout with Pacquiao or Mayweather. Maybe he changed his tune later, but I am just referring to what we all saw come out of his mouth, not his trainers, handlers, etc. He stated that himself...Comment

How many ppl would fight Margarito with 17pound disadvantage. Probably none.Comment

Pacquiao is full of ****. He stated before the Margarito fight that he NEVER intended to fight a genuine junior middleweight.....

good job twisting things.
What happened was this:
Leading up to the fight when Manny was trying to put on weight during training camp, both Roach and Manny realized he was starting to slow down and actually look sluggish (which is why he eventually came in 144 for the weigh in).
It was at that point articles like this started to come out.Comment
