I disagree. Level of opposition has something to do with why we haven't seen him hit clean on a REGULAR basis. Every fighter is hittable. I can promise you that Cotto will hit him enough to win the fight. There is no need to disrepect a great fighter like Cotto. Mayweather isn't a boxing GOD. He's a product of smart match-making in my eyes. They are both great fighters and this will be an intriguing fight.

I dont think so. I think Floyd has mastered his D and unless he gets old, you wont hit him clean. Cotto might land but it will just be what Floyd gives him. Elbows & gloves. I think the only reason why JMM & Shane landed a couple of shots early was just Floyd knocking off rust. A Southpaw is different but I dont think a righty can hit Floyd clean right now

How i see it, for him to be able to land his right hand (which he needs to do), he has to mix it up well. His jab will be effective at first, and he needs to build other punches off that. If he cant, his jab will be taken away probably. Floyd does leave his body open quite a bit, especially if he gets caught with a hard one upstairs, in which case he'll leave his body completely open for a high guard, elbows up and all.

Its gonna come down to gameplanning, and being prepared for many/all scenarios (being aggressive, making floyd be aggressive, etc). Floyd will be hit, and he will feel some of them. Obviously floyd is the favorite to win, but cotto certainly has what it takes to pull it off imo. I dont see floyd putting cotto away, as cotto is too resilient and floyd doesnt throw the necessary volume. He may get hurt, but only if a few fights has cotto not been hurt or caught with hard punches.

Floyd has been hit hard several times, by Corley, Judah, Mosley, etc those 3 have something in common and it's that at the time they were very well known for their handspeed. So it wouldn't be anything new if Cotto can catch him cleanly, but I think Cotto is way too slow to catch Floyd, Floyd will see those punches coming from a mile away. But NSB will make a big deal and make gifs about it in a fight where Mayweather wins by near shut out or TKO.

Floyd wont share PPV with Pacquaio...the expected biggest PPV sell ever in history. So its commonsense that he wont split them with Cotto. Hed Make more money splitting the PPV with Manny than he will keeping all the sales to himself with Cotto. Cotto needs this opportunity...Manny dont. Its sucks to think Cotto is getting taking advantage of , but then again...this is a business. Personally...im streaming this. I've noticed that Mayweather vs Cotto is totally overshadowing the Pacquiao vs Bradley fight. Just by looking at the first page on NSB, all I see is topics of Mayweather vs Cotto. Even Pacquiao fans are putting more attention to Mayweather vs Cotto. Pacquiao fans will never be Pacquiao fans first. They will be a Mayweather hater first, Pacquiao fan second. In another words, they will be a Mayweather fan first, Pacquiao fan second.
