Jones was completely shot to **** when Calzaghe beat him. Calzaghe was damn near his prime too. He was older but never looked better. Jones had been koed cold before that and nobody gave him a chance even before the fight.

i know Calzaghe takes a lot of flack on here but i give the guy credit, maybe its because im british and watched so many of his fights that i'm biased, but RJJ in his day was in front of Joe Calzaghe all day long.
I never get bored of watching RJJ from his earlier days, 1 of my favourite all time fighters

Lol you're an idiot, did you even read the thread?.... The guys Hopkins fought were always world class,Calzaghe fought bums.. If he was with Warren or a decent promoter he would have being gang******.Imagine if he fought world class people for that reigning ten years instead of bums..He would have had far more wars and probably wouldn't have been the same fighter due to all the damage he would have taken.

Carl Frochs a warrior,Not a coward like Calzaghe

You can't say Roy was the best 168 pounder ever, because Calzaghe stuck around and dominated the division whereas Roy quickly moved on, but I have no doubt that Roy was the better fighter at that weight. I think it was his best.

Lol,other people take certain things into fact you idiot.Jones was never the same after he came back down from heavyweight,He never had the same foot movement which was basically his defence.Jones then proceeded to have a tough fight with Tarver, which was a shock to most. Then in the Rematch he got knocked out by Tarver, then glen Johnston..That two knockouts probably did something to his reflexes aswell. So most people disregard the calzaghe loss..We're talking about his super middle weight days ..

Can you see how arrogant you are?

guys if i remember correctly calzaghe wasn't some CRAZY BETTING FAVORITE. he was like a 2-1 or something. about 70/30, or 60/40. i just don't think you can place a lot of merit on the "prime" argument. IT IS WHAT IT MOTHER ****ING IS. for some reason if you guys absolutely despise calzaghe, i have no idea why, please just be real to yourselves, and your fellow boxing fans.

so what about hopkins? at first nobody gave him credit for how he beat him in a CLOSE, but clearly won boxing match?

dude just be REAL! PLEASE! roy jones jr. IS NOT the best super middle weight of all time. HOWEVER, HE IS BETTER OVERALL AND POUND FOR POUND THEN CALZAG's!
