ppl like to hype certain fighters beyond ridiculous because of their fighting styles and personalities. the problem is, that doesnt win u real fights. maidana has done nothing to suggest to me he can beat, let alone ko, bradley. if u ask ppl, they cant even give u a real reason, just a buncha bull.

what makes it worse is maidana had a chance to face bradley and he DUCKED him.

why would he duck bradley?? bradley isnt some feared KO arist that everyones trying to avoid and maidana didnt have an undefeated record to "protect" so why would he duck this overrated glorified headbutter??

uhhh bradley is 10x better than koltenik offensively. once again, that argument makes no sense. maidana has only looked decent in one fight ive seen. the ortiz fight. and he was losing that one too!!! i really hate cult favorite low skill fighters. their fans and those who are attracted to them seem to make them out to be superman n sh it.

Kotelnik is a quality fighter who beat Alexander almost as decisively as Bradley did, and Maidana still arguably beat Kotelnik as well. And I dont see how Bradley is '10 times' better than Kotelnik offensively anyway. Im not a jackass that will bring up KO percentages, but even though Kotelnik is not the biggest puncher his punches are sharp, and can sting over the course of a fight. regardless, Maidana did simply walk through what Kotelnik had(and Khan as well), and ended up wailing away on his guard all night. Bradley doesnt generally have that kind of tight guard.

I dont think much of Maidana in the skill department, but hes truly a will over skill fighter, and his performances against top guys in the division simply cannot be denied. Its not like others are way above him.

I would favor Bradley, but dont pretend like Bradley is some untouchable force.

And by the same token..there is more to boxing than saying 'he has more power, so he should win'

the point is i dont see this great fighter that bulldozes everything like ppl on this site. hes never looked great in any big fight hes been in. he throws a some big punches but as of yet, what name has he ever koed? thinking he ko's bradley doesnt make it so. bradley doesnt just run up and take punches, he is quite hard to hit at times. and no i dont think bradley owns all. i think hes the best at 140 and if anyone there beats him, his name will be amir khan.

timothy is a smart fighter and i don't know why most of the people make it seem as if the only way he can fight is coming forward it's as if most of these people don't watch boxing.maidana 2 loses are 2 fights that went the distance,if maidana doesn't knock timothy out there is no way he could win and timothy has a better chin than khan and is probably harder to hit than khan

Maidana was gassed badly in that fight, probably alot do to that body shot delivered by khan (the fact maidana got up from that is increadible).

However, had Khan not landed that masterful shot, and continued to make Maidana chase him, and not had the assistance of Cortez (lets face it, cortez doesn't let guys get inside and work) I think Maidana would've dropped khan, KO'd him? maybe not, but definatly would have dropped him, a gassed maidana wobbled khan something aweful.

Maidana vs Bradley would be interesting though.

I'd like to see a khan vs Maidana rematch though, really good fight in my opinion. I hate cortez though, i think he's a ****ty ref and shouldn't be given any more interesting fights till he can keep from getting in the way.
