Not only did Hatton have to step up in weight to where he wasn't as effective, he had to fight in Mayweather's backyard, in an enlarged ring (at Floyd's request), with a crooked US referee who wouldn't even let him fight.

Now go back to over-hyping Devon Alexander, Paul Williams, Scared Mayweather, Scared Dirrell, Billy Goat Ward, Old Mary Popkins, Druggie Jones, Casper Pavlik and the rest of those average cats.

All nations hype there fighters, Brits, Americans, Mexicans. In all sports too not just in Boxing.

Nothing wrong with supporting your fighters, but does seem that on this forum people just run with it for arguments sake.

Personally i get behind the British fighters, but i try to be honest in my views/rating regarding them.

We do it because we dont have a lot of options, He only have 1 or 2 "star" at one time so we tend to overrate any average level sportperson that we have, I think most countries do it though especially those with one or two stars, Only america who have geniune sport stars doesnt seem to do it because that have so many options in so many different sports.

Like I said, boxing is a business and people need to make money. They need to pick a star out of the current crop of British fighters and push them into the boxing limelight.

The best and biggest are still in the US but the best fighters are no longer Americans. Although Ward and Bradley may just change that, but we will see...

Amir Khan seems to be the guy they are pushing.. Carl Froch too.. But there is more up side for Amir because there are bigger fights that can be made for Khan compared to Froch..
