I actually like the Brits and the way they support their boxers, I just hate the ignorant little internet pricks that get on here and bash the U.S.

It's not even up for debate that the US will always be superior to the UK when it comes to boxing, ALWAYS. Ricky Hatton was an overrated club fighter. Calzaghe was a scared punk who hid in his country and came out when the legends were old. Khan is one or two fights from getting the baby deer legs again. Froch is doing good, but Ward is gonna tap that ass.

Thing is most actual brit boxing fans thought Hatton had almost no chance of beating Mayweather. But the mainstream media rode the bandwagon.

Not like yanks are any better. HBO called Kelly Palik the centrepiece of American Boxing...

        every nation overrates their fighter.
        why not? no hype=boring.

Khan is a good fighter anyway, if hes the one youre talking about.

If boxing is apparently dieing then hype in necessary. It's not just Brits, it's everyone and these big names are what get us all debating. Hype keeps boxing alive!

As people have already said every country hypes up there fighters that’s nothing new and its definitely not restricted to Brits.

I do know one thing tho if two undefeated British champions where fighting fans here would make the effort to attend and turn it into a decent event give it some atmosphere. Last night’s fight was a joke everything about it was average at best from the fight itself to the crowd.

                  hahaha

we support not over-rate and continue to support even after a loss whereas yanks claim any undefeated fighter is the greatest thing since sliced bread and when they do get exposed they move onto the next bum...

The idea that Mayweather beat Hatton fairly is ridiculous.

Not only did Hatton have to step up in weight to where he wasn't as effective, he had to fight in Mayweather's backyard, in an enlarged ring (at Floyd's request), with a crooked US referee who wouldn't even let him fight.

Now go back to over-hyping Devon Alexander, Paul Williams, Scared Mayweather, Scared Dirrell, Billy Goat Ward, Old Mary Popkins, Druggie Jones, Casper Pavlik and the rest of those average cats.
