Mayweather vs Hatton is all I have to say... It was as fulfilling as the boston tea party
Why do Brits always overhype their fighters?

The thing is this,
Boxing is not big over here. So for it to become popular, Sky needs to pick a fighter to hype up. Now, you can't sell a fight on honesty, or very rarely at least. So Sky need to hype up the opponents of whoever the British cash cow is fighting, thus, in turn making the cash cow's wins look better.
For example, Haye vs Valuev to us boxing fans. To the British public it was David vs Goliath, the biggest Heavyweight champion ever ( Haye fans still use that line too ).
Hatton was made extremely popular by the fact he was ' one of the lads '. He drunk beer, passionately followed a football club and he was from up North. He brought 30k fans over to America and had a dedicated following. As I said earlier though, only a handful could tell you who Harry Greb was.Comment

Best post so far. Thats why there is so many Pac fans on here now. The brits came alive with Hatton but when he got knocked out most left waiting for another brit to d1ck ride... hence now with Khan. These forums never change it seems. *****s and *******s together aren't as annoying as a **** talking brits imo. Nobody usually brings countries into this except brits... I don't understand the whole mexican vs puerto rican thing. And brits never give respect when they get beat which has happened too much. Sorry to all the non **** talking britishComment

Agreed. I don't understand.
I mean was Amir Khan NOT put on ***** street a couple of months ago? Bradley did not even look all that damn bad as people around here are making him to be. Not bad enough for his stock to suddenly be dropping. Not good enough for his stock to rise either.Comment
