Now go back to over-hyping Devon Alexander, Paul Williams, Scared Mayweather, Scared Dirrell, Billy Goat Ward, Old Mary Popkins, Druggie Jones, Casper Pavlik and the rest of those average cats.
hatton could have had his mam ref that fight, he would still of lost.

      You're missing the point.

The fact is everything was stacked against Hatton before even when into the ring, the ref made sure even after all that he was never going to get a fair go.

Yet somehow US fans want to claim it as a great victory, it wasn't, far from it. It was a questionable victory against a blown up JWW.

They overhype them because they have so few. So when one of their own finds success they all have to get behind that guy. They are blind and don't realize that the guys that their fighters usually start off with(british level fighters) don't prepare their fighters well for the world class fighters. In America the competition is tough and fierce. It prepares you better for world class fights.

im not, i know what your sayin.

it was always going to be stacked against hatton. mayweather was the number 1 p4p and therefore called the shots. nobody put a gun to hattons head and said fight mayweather at a division above your best. i agree the ref was a turd and if i remember rightly, the hbo commentators were saying if anyone is gonna get deducted a point it would be floyd for holding and use of the elbow.

anyways, like i said hatton didnt have any chance anyway. mayweather is better than hatton, simple as that imo.

With a population of around 310 million people to only have 6 world champions is laughable.

England has a population of about 55 million yet has 3 world champions.

Doesn’t seem like ‘so few’ in comparison.

You really consider belts that important? I don't gauge a fighters talent on if he has a belt. I gauge them on skills and resume. Is Hopkins not a good fighter because he doesn't have a belt? If I ranked the top 100 fighters in the world I'd say there be about 25-30 Americans on it. That's not too bad for one nation.

Leaving out the size of the nation and the popularity of boxing in that nation. Boxing is below Cycling on the BBC website
