In MMA when fighters take too long to not fight, the ref tells them to fight. Just in like in Boxing, the ref tells you to fight if you're not fighting.

If your rule was put in to play, Haye and Harrison should have been DQ'ed and we would have missed Haye's 3rd round KO.

So no, anything can happen in boxing.

Say like, for example, a prime Ricky Hatton and Andre Dirrell are the same size and weight. Imagine how ugly that would be, Hatton holding etc trying to get in close and Dirrell wriggling free and running away. How ugly would that be? Say Dirrell in the Froch fight, and Dirrell in the Abraham fight.

Boxing off the backfoot seem's to be Dirrells style, I don't know if docking points would force him to stand his ground.

It looks ugly, but you'd probably end up DQ'ing him.

Point well made my man!! Sometimes its like some people on here want a fighter to not fight in a way that gives them the best chance to win.

I have to say even though fighters should know how to cut off the ring. That **** Dirrell pulled vs Stevens was downright disgraceful.

If you call Dirrell's style "running" then 'no' they shouldn't deduct points for that.
