Yes or no? I personally think so. We are always seeing in-fighting being scuppered these days, so why not the same treatment for fighters at the other end of the spectrum? It's like, who's right and who's wrong, the guy trying to hug or the guy trying to run away from engaging in a fight?
Should they deduct points for running/not engaging?

i just think as a fighter they should be proud enough not to go in and fight like a coward

Say like, for example, a prime Ricky Hatton and Andre Dirrell are the same size and weight. Imagine how ugly that would be, Hatton holding etc trying to get in close and Dirrell wriggling free and running away. How ugly would that be? Say Dirrell in the Froch fight, and Dirrell in the Abraham fight.Comment

Dirrell didnt really "run" in the Abraham fightSay like, for example, a prime Ricky Hatton and Andre Dirrell are the same size and weight. Say Dirrell in the Froch fight, and Dirrell in the Abraham fight.Comment

It's called boxing. Not MMA.
In MMA when fighters take too long to not fight, the ref tells them to fight. Just in like in Boxing, the ref tells you to fight if you're not fighting.
If your rule was put in to play, Haye and Harrison should have been DQ'ed and we would have missed Haye's 3rd round KO.
So no, anything can happen in boxing.Comment

I wouldn't really call what Dirrell does as running. He's a phenomenal boxer in my opinion. One thing that I do hate is excessive clinching. Akinwande v Lewis. Tyson v Bonecrusher. Bahhhhhhhhhhhh!Comment
