115-112 Calzaghe
Hopkins was treading water at the end. If it was a 15-round fight it would have been conclusive.Comment

i dont have my score to hand but when i watched it i thought it was VERY close but i did think Joe would keep his belt and i was desperate to see Hopkins eat his words that "no white boy will ever beat me".
ive never wanted to really watch the fight again as its wasnt much cop first time round as far as i was concerned, Joe squeeked out a win away from home after hitting the canvas...thats the stuff champions are made of. I know Calzaghe takes some crap on here and some of his "KO wins" are laughable, but the guy did have some good skills...he slapped, yes, no doubt, but he brought more then just slaps to a fight and being beaten by slaps is a whole load more degrading and demorolising then being KO'd by a shot you didnt see....In time Joe will get his credit no doubt, but probably not for some years to comeComment

I could see through Calzaghe's lack of effectiveness in that fight like a picture frame. I'm sorry, but throwing open handed punches that hit nothing but air doesn't win you a fight. If people want to give that fight to Calzaghe just because Hopkins acted like a baby at the end of the fight, fine. But that means you have to give Antwon Echols the decision the in that one fight if it had went the distance judging by people's standards. Hopkins hurt Calzaghe numerous times in that fight, and rewatching that one video re-confirms my belief that fraud got away with a decision that he didn't deserve and his dad was screaming at the top of his lungs because he knew that Hopkins was dominating the pace of that fight and being the more effective puncher.Comment

Hopkins wiped the floor with him.
Hopkins wasn't mentally there that night either because his daughter was ill.Comment

I scored it 115-112, a clear win for Calzaghe.
Joe missed a lot, but he actually DID land a lot of clean effective punches in the later rounds after adjusting to B-Hop's awkward style.
B-Hop didn't do much, except push Joe down after hitting him in round one and headbutt a lot.
Some people will post gifs of Joe missing, but it's misleading because at other times he landed cleanly and frequently.Comment
