        Draw, and rematch is needed.

If you look at compubox, sure Calzaghe had the higher numbers overall. But Hopkins scored the knockdown, did more damage with his shots, was never hurt by Calzaghe (and not a mark on his face after the fight), and had the fight in his control even though Calzaghe was throwing more.

It wasn't really a good fight by either man, too much fouling and a lot of little cheap shots that shouldn't even be scored.

Neither deserves to win, it's a draw, and neither Calzaghe nor Hopkins can claim they're the better man until there's a rematch.

anyone who think Hopkins deserved to win that fight has something against Calzaghe. something personal about the guy they dion't like, that's all there is too it.

Calzaghe won and would beat him in a rematch.

That fight came down to whether you like Hopkins moments of real effective fighting, or Calzaghes nonstop worthless flailing action. I can honestly understand why most fans have Calzaghe winning the fight, but I just cant score ***** slaps to the biceps and shoulders over hard punches to the face. I dont care if the ratio is a thousand to 1. So I have a hard time scoring that fight for Joe, especially considering the knockdown.

Too much hatred in this thread. Needs to be balanced out. Here goes.

I scored the first round 10-8 to Hopkins, and everything after that to Calzaghe. Joe won 118-109.

Calzaghe won the fight the same way I felt Taylor beat Hopkins twice.

BHop simply didn't do enough. If a fighter is active and trying to push the fight then you score rounds in his favor where nothing significant happened. I can see if Hop was picking him off clean and landing power shots but nothing like that really happened save for the 1st round.

You guys say that all Calzaghe was doing was slapping in air? I saw a different fight, I saw Calzaghe pretty close to stopping an exhausted Hopkins. If not for the "low blows" I think we might have never heard the final bell off of BHop's exhaustion alone.
