Everybody has an opinion on who he should fight, but ACTUAL boxers haven't challenged him to my knowledge, at least somebody that everyone here would approve of!

Everybody that was in talks with Juanma all of a sudden dissapeared! thats funny, Just like the talks he had with everyone before the Cesar Figueroa fight which was the 13th ranked boxer from Mexico who actually had the balls to step up and fight him.

Now there's an outcry cuz he's fighting Salido which is another guy from Mexico who actually had the balls to step up and fight Juanma, there was even a thread made saying Juanma gets Gamboas sloppy seconds cuz Gamboa fought Salido first? bunch of haters yo... Cuz everyone comin off a loss is no good anymore...

Or Cordoba, Barros, Salido, Marquez, Kennedy are no good for him either.. everybody has an opinion, Iceta was thinking about smaller guys than Juanma cuz that would be a better option??!!!....please

So who has stepped up and actually challenged him?! Outry now cuz the rematch with Marquez is on, the first fight was explosive, I really believe that he was hurt too...

I also think it's crazy how Gamboa has 2 Titles with about 10 fights less than Juanma fighting competition that can't be compared to Juanma's resume (not taking away from the fact that I think that Gamboa is a terrific boxer) Yes I think this fight is long overdue.. lets make it happen!!!!
Dude you're a joke. If Marquez aint considered a smaller guy than Lopez then I don't know who is. He hasn't done shit at 126 and we saw the weight advantage that Lopez had over him during the fight. Fighting smaller guys? Well, what I mean is if he's gonna fight one why not fight one at the top of their game. Poonsawat is still the top guy at 122 isn't he? And Lopez could've tried to make a fight with either Gonzalez or Hasegawa before they started negotiating with each other and he can still even fight the winner of that fight instead of a pointless rematch with Marquez. I don't know why you guys keep defending Juan Ma.

The first fight was very entertaining, and I don't believe that Marquez quit; the shoulder injury seemed legit.

I actually like a rematch for these two. I'd favor JuanMa, but a Marquez upset is certainly not out of the question. He hit JuanMa with some good shots in the first encounter.

The guys I mentioned were in TALKS but they disappeared!! u never answered the question on who actually challenged him? or do people not challenge champions anymore? champions have to pick? cuz anyone they pick wil come to them being a cherry picker...
There are still other fights out there. Hasegawa (coming off a win), John, Rojas, Garcia, and Remillard. If Bob Arum had any balls he'd have matched Gamboa against Remillard and Garcia against Lopez now. I mean it gives his two stable fighters two undefeated prospects.

It doesn't matter who challenges him because the people who did he ignored anyway. When Caballero challenged him, you guys all claimed he didn't have the name value. Question, are the other guys names?

They didn't disappear, a lot of them were rejected by showtime.

It's not just the fact that Arum is "building up to Gamboa Lopez" it just seems like a lot of these fights are unnecessary.

Can't wait for Juanma/Gamboa. I really think Gamboa's speed will trouble Lopez. It's kinda a toss up fight for me though.

The fight with Gamboa will get done soon enough people be patient, the winner of that fight will almost be considered the undisputed champion of that division...

Now about Juanma going down to 122 again, not gonna happen, if anything he'll go up in time, so forget 122.

Things will unfold with time guys, like I said, everybody criticizes him, but who of the guys that ya'll would love to fight him have actually challenged him?

Yeah, I had to refresh my memory about that, but I just couldn't remember exactly who beat him. I don't pay attention to that division much anymore.
