It doesn't matter who challenges him because the people who did he ignored anyway. When Caballero challenged him, you guys all claimed he didn't have the name value. Question, are the other guys names?

They didn't disappear, a lot of them were rejected by showtime.

It's not just the fact that Arum is "building up to Gamboa Lopez" it just seems like a lot of these fights are unnecessary.
Everybody always brings up Caballero, do ya'll seriously think he can actually beat Juanma with his pitty pat punches?

Now, lets go to analyze this: Rafa claim injury and most here said if it wasnt for the injury he would had KOd Juanma. So there a chance for Juanma to prove he made Rafa quit, and for Rafa to prove he really was injured.

Now I do think Rafa and quit and had a built in in excuse because he knows he would of get a final big pay day in the rematch!!

About Gamboa I like every other boxein fan want Lopez to face him. But why Lopez should be the one chasing Gamboa? I mean Gamboa resume compare to Lopez is garbage. The guy doesnt draw too much either. Lopez is the #1 FW no if, buts or whats. So Gamboa aint pressing a fight with Lopez either? Why didnt Gamboa wanted to negotiate with John?

Gamboa is not pressing for a fight either and he is the one who needs to press for the fight.
gamboa has been pressing for that fight forever, but after a while he let it go cuz he understood what top rank as trying to do. What do u expect the guy to go caballero on juanma? nah ma gamboa has a lil bit more dignity than that. they should both be pressing for that fight cuz is the fight that everyone wants to see period. that fight is on every journalists top 5 to make so that alone is a reason to make the fight. Abouth John, well lets say top rank wasnt very interested and John's side was def. not interested. both sides were extremely happy after agreeing to fight later on this year

There are still other guys out there for him to fight than giving Marquez a rematch. And no, I don't think Caballero would beat Lopez. Don't change the fact that Juan Ma ducked him.

Lol @ Rican crybabies... if Gamboa is not pressing for the fight what the f is he doing here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXEgOlDeUsU?

Gamboa has said it a few times in public already: he doesn't care about Bob Arum interests, he only wants to fight Juanma right now and get done with it. He's tired of hearing that some people actually think that Juanma could possibly beat him, that's why he wants to face him right now, to show everyone that he's the only #1 in the division and stop with the drama of who's the best.

PONCE DE LEON lost vs CABALLERO but now he is a better fighter,I'd like to see a rematch!!!!

And I agree with you, just give us Gamboa vs. Lopez already. That has must-see TV written all over it. Let's just hope it's on HBO or Showtime, it's still not a huge fight and worthy of PPV...
Excellent post, bro. Agree with you. Green K

JuanMa's potential is being milked for all it's worth. I understand that from a business perspective, but it sucks a fat one for the fans. Not one person talks about another match-up for Lopez besides Gamboa. These two kids are young, talented and exciting. Their meeting might not be huge on a Pacquiao-Mayweather level, but it'll get a lot of people around here amped, including yours truly.

Wow!! Another hard challenge for Lopez. Such greatness and his fans are the most credible people on here.
