Arum won't burmn the bridge and he will run back to HBO because HBO's license fees are 3x-4x what SHO pays.
He will do PPV fights with SHO, because the money comes from Manny, not the network.
But a non-ppv is a no-brainer for HBO....if they want the fight.
That is when the show gets truly interesting, since Bob has already played his major trump cards (although I guess he could always play the game to bring them back to HBO as well)

What are you talking about burning a bridge.
This is nothing more than Arum and Top Rank exploring other options. It's not as serious as you or others are making it out to be.
Top Rank is still doing business with HBO as seen by one of the biggest fights, Donaire vs Montiel, being a HBO headline event.
Again you bring up those stadium events as well, but those were just Arum taking risk and trying something different.
I wish more promoters would do the same, but it seems too many are content with playing it safe and not being creative (from a promotional standpoint).

I said Arum won't burn a bridge. You are arguing with me because I agree with you on this point?
In a conversation about Arum and business, what ELSE would we be talking about?
Yes this topic started off with Arum and the business side. However, pullcounter brought up who the real promoters are in boxing. I simple responded to his topic by saying Top Rank and GBP are the only real ones (IMO) aswell as pointing out GBP is good at putting together great cards but are green in other areas.
How you took that as me knocking them, from a business standpoint, is beyond me.
When I stated they are green, again I was referring to their ability to build a star from the ground up, put together independent events for up and coming fighters (only attempt was Valero vs Pintulla), ink deals with tv stations to help show case fighters that aren't stars (e.g. Top Rank live with Foxsportsnet) and so forth and so forth.
Those are just areas I feel they are green in.
If you really think about it all of there stars are either up in age or close to retiring. They haven't show the ability to build fighters so unless then can somehow continue to steal fighters from other companies, they will be in trouble.
Again, you are trying to make it as if I'm saying GBP can't make money as well as turning this into a Pac vs Floyd pissing match. I implied neither of those things, which is why I said you are twisting my words.
