Manny is a great champ and one of the best ever but he has been doing some real crappy things lately and if you deny it as a boxing fan then you're an idiot. Manny decided to fight Margarito, which was pathetic and he didn't even allow Margarito to fight at the 154 weight. So he went up to jr. middleweight to fight for a vacant belt against a guy that shouldn't even be fighting at all because he cheated and won, which everyone predicted. After winning, decides not to defend the belt at all and moves back down and decides to fight someone that is clearly over the hill. And Cotto is looking like he's fighting bums for money also.

      Who cares?

I mean outside of Williams, Pavlik and now Dzinziruk (you can throw Cintron in there), Martinez has fought nothing but bums. So it's cool he has enhanced his resume in the last year and a half.

The thing is both Cotto and Pacquaio have put in years worth of work facing very good competition as well. If you compare all three of there careers, Sergio still comes in third so it's cool watching him play catchup.

Jeez it's like talking to a 2 year old.

Besides, based on your flawless logic, if someone does something wrong it's ok for you to do it?
I dont like the fact he won at 150 but he is the chapion at 154 wether me or you like so why should he have to defend it.

The sad shit is that in 50 years no one will say that. The only thing they'll know is that Pacquiao was an 8 division champion

I'm sorry but your going to have to make this much 'simplier' for me.

Your saying Manny is a legit Champion at 154 yet can't fight above 150? Thus can't make the weight he's a champion in?

Isn't there a conflict here? Or am i missing something?

                  Why is this?
It's not "convenient" for Pacquiao. People are either too big or too small for Manny when they're a threat to fight. The fighters of today are too soft, or maybe the new generation is letting fighters know it's OK to be soft, and it's wrong. Boxing is dying out, there's only a few fighters that fight because they love the sport, and fight the best all the time. That's part of being a champ, once you reach that level there's no going back, they USE TO FIGHT ONLY THE BEST,YOU DIDN"T REALLY PICK, THE FANS DID, THEY KNEW THE GREAT MATCHUPS AND THEY WOULD SELL WELL, FIGHTERS WOULD GET THEIR PAYCHECK AND FANS WOULD GET A GREAT FIGHT. But today we have champs fighting chumps and has beens, and even the new comers are refusing to fight since even the champs aren't fighting.
