He may b an ass n a mummy's boy but he's entertaining n that's what I pay for
why all the hate for Max Kellerman?

Papa comes across as a part time observer of boxing and when he calls a fight he just sounds boring. Gus Johnson is horrible in every way. Bernstein is a good announcer and has a good knowledge of the fighters he is watching. I agree with Tarver.Comment

Larry just says whatever he wants, why would he care if HBO fires him, that is what I like about Larry. Jim, for me its all about the voice, if you have a good soothing voice your gold. A great voice is more important than what you actually say.His voice is annoying and he's a fanboy. Other than that, I don't hate him. He even while being a big alexander stan he called it like it was on the Kotelnik fight.
Jim Lampley is the same, he has a nice tone to his voice but he's a big fanboy and he becomes really annoying aswell. That **** fiasco on the Pac vs Clottey fight was really fucking ******. Larry is ok but his post fight interviews are slow as shit and sometimes kind of senile.Comment

Jim Lampley is important part of broadcasting, he is not hired for analyzing the fight, but for making broadcasting exciting, which he does very well.
I don't like Max, because of his whiny voice and the way he opens his mouth while talking. Also he is a fanboy.
I like Lederman, he very often while commenting on scorecards points on the things that other commentators didn't see.Comment

Yeah, I like Jim '**** ****' Lampley, but I prefer Kellerman.kellerman isnt all that bad...he's matured as a commentator and he can be very insightful
he's better than lampley and old larry merchant at this point...lampley hardly ever has any interesting contributions
his post fight interviews are indeed very short and involve him mostly doing the talking but merchant was like that back in the day too. also cutting the postfight interview with floyd (vs marquez) short like that was a bit rudeComment

No hate here, I like Mad Max.I didnt like him at first, but i like his enthuasism, his knowledge even his accent, which was annoying at first. He's grew on me. I enjoy the faceoff segments, he doesnt interupt the boxers like other interviewers (larry merchant, steve bunce, jim grey etc) do, you can tell he respects the fact its not about him.
You can tell he gives a **** about boxing. Larry Merchant, legend, but come on, he hasnt been a decent commentator since the 1990's, and Emmanuel Steward is the definition of boring
the guy gets abuse every time i see someone writing about or talking about HBO, give him a break, he's probably the best thing about HBO commentary at the moment - which shows how much standards have fallen but the abuse he gets is a bit perplexing to meComment

Kellerman is a pretty smart dude, his voice is annoying though and whenever there's like a knockdown or anything he sounds so dull. Emmanuel is good at analyzing the fight real well. Jones is pretty good aswell.
Jim, Foreman or Lewis, and Larry are the best combo IMHO.Comment
