why all the hate for Max Kellerman?

I didnt like him at first, but i like his enthuasism, his knowledge even his accent, which was annoying at first. He's grew on me. I enjoy the faceoff segments, he doesnt interupt the boxers like other interviewers (larry merchant, steve bunce, jim grey etc) do, you can tell he respects the fact its not about him.
You can tell he gives a **** about boxing. Larry Merchant, legend, but come on, he hasnt been a decent commentator since the 1990's, and Emmanuel Steward is the definition of boring

the guy gets abuse every time i see someone writing about or talking about HBO, give him a break, he's probably the best thing about HBO commentary at the moment - which shows how much standards have fallen but the abuse he gets is a bit perplexing to me

Kellerman is a fake. A pretender. A pseudo boxing-analyst and a **** who should be beaten to death by a pack of thugs. Preferably black thugs.

max grew on my as well. but i can see why people hate him.

1. max never gives post fight interviews enough time. i'm sure he follows hbo's orders, but merchant gives plenty of time if fighters are deserving.

2. he's a ******.

3. max has an annoying, high pitched voice and says pretty dumb or totally obvious things at times.

3. he's a bug eyed bastard. he always looks he just saw a ghost.

Lampley, RJJ and Steward are my favourite trio among the HBO crew though.

Max Kellerman lacks social tact and doesn't fit into his job. He has no real insight into boxing, partly because he was never a boxer or a trainer.

I love it when he gets by Roy Jones.

He even lies to discredit the boxers he doesn't like like Ricky Hatton, Joe Calzaghe, Kelly Pavlik and the Klitschkos. And he comes across as being a silly fanboy of the ones he likes like Paul Williams, Devon Alexander and Andre Berto.

He has came across as a fanboy of Alexander and Williams on multiple occasions but to be fair he has also manned up and called it like it was in the Kotelnik and Martinez fights.
