I thought Cotto doesn't call fighters out by name, why finally say he wants Floyd now. He knows he will get an ass whoppin, but he wants his biggest payday before retiring.

at least the ass whoopin won't be nothing like the one he got vs pac and cheato. its an easy-to-take ass whoopin actually since floyd doesn't punch so hard. if i were cotto i would definitley call floyd out too, easy, big money.

First off I’m black, you ass. Second off if you were not so simple minded you could see that this would make the most cents/dollars for both fighters if they where to fight at yankee staiduim at that time. I did not say that out of some race pride ****. I said that as a boxing fan who loves big spectacles and is tired of seeing the same screen shots of Vegas every fight. Now i am not saying this is for sure this is going to happen cause there is way to many things in the way. Pacquiao, Margarito, Arum and Vegas being Floyds home but it sure would be fun.

Henry Bruseles. He was trained by Evangelista Cotto and he even sparred
with Miguel Cotto. They were best friends and Floyd beat the crap out of
Bruseles and Cotto was sitting in the stands watching the fight when it happened. Never believe Floyd ducked Cotto. There is no proof but there
is proof that Arum didn't want to put Cotto in with Hatton or Floyd at
140.

I think Cotto/floyd is still a good fight. I think them two
will bring out everyone. Floyd beats him though now and
would of back then. I respect Miguel Cotto because he
earned from me but never be completely sold on him.
Good fighter but his power was his main tool and once
he didn't have that advantage he would buckle.

Usually as a Mayweather fan we here that the jab is the key to beating Mayweather and Emanuel Steward seems to have taught Cotto a great jab. Also people say that the body is the way to stop Mayweather like in the Castillo fight and in the poorly executed De la Hoya fight. Cotto has one of the best body shots in the Biz and more importantly know how to time it. so there are some possible avenues that Cotto could take to be in the fight. But Mayweather will still win.

This also servers both fighters because Cotto would be a great tune up fight for Mayweather and Mayweather would be a well deserved huge payday for cotto. Cotto would not have to take much punishment in the process. Probably about 30 or 40 punches a round and not even strong punches so he will live afterward.

If Cotto walks fast Mayorga with a KO and wins even a UD against Margarito, I dont see floyd coming out of vacation to fight him... I however, believe Floyd can and will outbox Cotto anyday.

Margarito is another story altogether. His style is bad news for floyd. Floyd will never call out Margarito. Unlike Mosley who surprisingly stopped throwing after his 2nd round fight with floyd, Margarito keeps the pressure against opponents with heavy punches. I haven't seen Margarito gets frustrated because he can't find his opponent or is getting hit constantly. The Pac fight showed Margarito will not backdown even with bombs landing in his face.

If they fight, floyd will most probably pot shot at Margarito. He will definitely land his big punches with regularity but it won't bring down Margarito. On the other hand, Margarito will be throwing his own bombs and some will land, believe it. When they land, I see him increasing the constant pressure. He will corner floyd at some point and will be punishing him during those brief moments. Margarito's style even at his present state is bad news for floyd.

Floyd might win this one but at great cost to him.
