I true sign of a boxing idiot posing as a boxing fan is when they get hyped over any and everyone's words. We've all seen the "decent" hand speed, flat footed, stationary, poor defensive boxing of Cotto and yet when Miguel says he wants to fight Floyd, fake boxing fans are actually aroused.

All fandom aside, it doesn't take a Floyd, Manny, Roy Jones, or Ali fan to know that Cotto is a C to D level boxer compared to Floyd. Cotto loses in all aspects:

Floyd has more stamina
FLoyd has more boxing skill
Floyd has more hand speed
Floyd is a superior counterpuncher
Floyd has superior defense
Floyd has superior offense

Cotto will do what he does best which is try to walk him down only to be picked off and counterpunched all night. Cotto will end up with a 12% connect avg while Floyd cruises to a through this sparring match.

At the end, everyone will say Cotto was already washed up. So sad.

Parting Words of Wisdom: I saw a fan say "You gotta love Cotto's willingness to take on challenges." I say, "I'd love it even more if he triumphed in those challenges because there are no belts for "Most Challenges Taken."

I think Cotto can do well in this fight than most people think, not saying he can beat Floyd but I know he can give him a challenge.

Some say Cotto has no stamina, I think the only time you would see Cotto gassing out is when being pressured something that Floyd doesn't do. Floyd will feel his shots and believe me Cotto will land a bunch cause he knows how to pick his spots. I don't believe it would be as one sided as the Mosley fight.

I would love for Floyd to fight Cotto because then I can
bet all of you and have like 10 BILLION points because no
way is Cotto beating Floyd. Not then and definitely not now.
Cotto got hit big in every major fight he has been in and been
hurt numerous times. Floyd would accurately pound Cotto out.
I have always said, once you take Cotto's pressure and punch
away, he was easy pickings. Shane did it in the 2nd half of
their match and so did Margarito. I could see that match going
down like Gatti with a little Corrales sprinkled on it. Cotto
has never performed on the level of Floyd Mayweather Jr. Floyd
moved up to Jr Welter from Lightweight and Cotto wasn't even
ready for Floyd in his own division. Cotto and Hatton was at the
Gatti fight. Both were supposed to be next up but soon after,
the fights didn't happen. Sorry guys but I have a hard time
believing that Floyd was ducking a guy that wasn't even ready
to fight him while passing through Cotto's division. Cotto earned
my rspect because he fights hard but his defensive game has
too many holes in it and he cannot adjust well when the tables
are turned...... (Margarito showed us that) Definitely would have
been a great fight when both were undefeated but neither
guy really pushed for it. But Floyd definitely wanted the fight
before he left Arum to pursue Oscar....

Floyd pressured and pushed around Mosley. HOW? Floyd doesn't
even get hit much and you say Cotto knows how to pick his shots
but he couldn't even plant his feet and stop Margarito from rolling
over him? Hell! Cotto didn't even hit Margarito with a body punch
and that's the best punch he has in his arsenal. Cotto under pressure
is a mental midget in the ring and I think Pac exposed that as well
by letting Cotto get off his shots and breaking Cotto's will. Floyd
is too technical and changes at the drop of the hat. Floyd would
break Cotto down mental and put him out. You guys think Mosley
got beat down. All in all, would love to see these two guys fight.
Who knows. It just might happen if Cotto is mentioning Floyd
now. He said him and Floyd discussed it sometime ago.

Damn fam! You shut em down EARLY! Can't believe people still
give Margarito credit by saying Floyd ducked him when Oscar at
154 was way more of a challenge then Margarito at 147. Oscar
sparred with Shane, had Roach in his corner, 12LBs heavier, gloves
and ring. Margarito proved his worth by using illegal plaster like
substance to beat up on guys smaller than him. Paul Williams
was outboxing Margarito and all of a sudden Floyd is supposed
to get dominated by a guy that a midget kicked the **** out of?
Floyd dominated the same guy (Mosley) who wore Margarito
like a slipper and walked around with him on his foot. I know
people hate Floyd but no way would I bet on Margarito or Cotto
over Floyd. I think logical people call that Russian Roulet. $h!t
