Hard to see Mayweather coming out of retirement for this one however, unless Cotto/Margarito II is a war.

Im not a PR hater, I just do not think there is any point in a Cotto vs Mayweather fight at this time. Cotto is not gonna be competitive against Floyd. Cotto is a warrior always has. I am just expressing the truth, which is that Arum is smart as hell and will milk him against opponents who will beat him like Margs and JCC jr. and who are top rank fighters.He said it tody at the Puerto Rico press for Cotto VS Mayorga. He said Cotto will fight Margs in june and if he wins then JCC jr at middleweight. There is no way Cotto will beat JCC jr after Margs beats him to a pulp again. He is softening his own fighter for his new Cash Cow JCC jr.

As for Cotto vs Mayweather, I dont think Cotto will win either, but will it sell? Hell yes. Will Cotto make more money than any other fight? Hell yes. Does he deserve that fight? Hell yes. Will it be competitive , I think it would.

Lets not act like if Cotto wins or loses, Cheato will say "I dont want to fight Cotto". Cheato will always be there to fight Cotto. Cotto need to fight Floyd and cash in because that payday will not always be there.As for JCC jr. Who wants to see that? I dont.

Floyd would win a wide UD against Cotto. I am sure Cotto is simply looking for that last big payday just like Mosely is now. I don't put it past Arum to line up big hitters before Cotto fights Jr. That said Jr can't beat a shot war softened Cotto anyway so f-ck Arum.

you can't blame cotto for wanting it but mayweather will kill him. cotto can't take head shots anymore and mayweather is one of the most accurate punchers in the history of the sport.i like miguel but money mops the floor with him until the ref stops it. by the way mayweather's career is over.

Cotto is the man when it comes to taking on challenges.

Cotto has been on the losing end and will now be promoted as having a desire to take on anyone. If he had beat Manny, the chances taken would be lesser.

In my opinion Cotto would be thoroughly out boxed. Would of liked to see this fight before Margs made Cotto take a knee.

yeah he most likely gets thoroughly out boxed but its a safe, big money fight fight for him. he doesn't have to worry about floyd beating him up bad since floyd doesn't have alot of power.
