Comments Thread For: De La Hoya: There is No Doubt Mayweather Beats Pacquiao

If, and that's a big ass if, Team Pacquaio inquired about USADA testing for Mosley, I think it has a lot to do with in their minds excusing Mayweather's performance against Sugar. Whether people want to accept it or not, Roach had a very high opinion of Mosley following his KO of Margarito. And it is well documented that Team Pacquaio didn't want to fight Mosley at that time, under any circumstances. So I think Mayweather's performance against him kinda sent shockwaves through that camp. And to downplay it, in their minds and the minds of their followers, they've planeted the seed of, "Mosley was drained from the testing or not being able to use PEDs." If they wanted the testing, I think it was to gain a psycological advantage moreso than actually believing their own nonsense.Comment

Fine, don't trust the examiner... then watch the USA TODAY VIDEO I posted, then come back here to tell me how they're not credible as well.
I'll wait
Best thing to do is open your eyes, realize your boy's bluff was called and his hoe card pulled and he ran away. Time to move on. You can still watch Manny fight some more until '13 when the 'vacation' will finally come to an end mysteriously.

You can say he tried to make the fight the first time around. But, in reality, they were negotiating for a Mar fight when Pac had just suffered a busted eardrum in his Nov fight with Cotto. How realistic was it that Pac was gonna be ready for a fighter like Mayweather in that quick a turnaround? He fought Clottey, but Clottey blows. I personally didn't feel it was fair for Pac to have to fight Mayweather that quickly after fighting a tough fight with Cotto. But hey, it is what it is. I'm on both sides of this thing. Both are at fault in my mind. But, if I had to choose sides, I'd side with Mayweather and that's more of a moral issue than anything else. I think clean people don't care when, how, or how many times they're tested. And Pac's stance would have him labeled a user under any other circumstance.Comment

for Pac to not fight Floyd but rather go for Clottey because he wouldn't
be ready for a fight with Floyd that soon? Basically it sounds like
excuses with a lil ducking sprinkled on it. All of that if it is true
was total and completely unnesscary from Team Pac.Comment

because Manny destroyed Oscar, so obviously, Oscar is going to pick the guy that didnt quite deserve the decision against himself in Floyd. Shut up Oscar.Comment

If you believe that in your heart, then we gotta move on
people. Forget about this Pac-Mayweather thing and focus
on other fighters for Floyd.
Amir Khan, Berto, Alexander-Bradley winner would all be
legitimate options for Floyd. There is no Arum to deal with.
I just don't get why you keep focusing on Pac when your
only attention is on blaming Pac. It makes everyone wonder
if you're really interested in this fight or just interested in
finding fault.Comment

Dude, all Pac said is, "I accepted their demands." He never said anything about no cutoffs. He never said anything about testing between rounds. All he said was he accepted the demands. We all know that he accepted the 14 days that the mediation deemed acceptable the first time around and later went down to 7. Go on believing what you want and I'll go on believing what I want. And that is I don't think either camp is overly eager to fight the other. I don't think either is scared. But, I think Mayweather would rather not fight anyone and I think Pac is perfectly satisfied making $20M fight no one.Fine, don't trust the examiner... then watch the USA TODAY VIDEO I posted, then come back here to tell me how they're not credible as well.

is a a fact. Roach said Floyd was scared of Mosley and would never
fight him and Floyd di and dominated him. Roach was nervous of
Mosley, even said he was too good to fight Pac even at a catchweight.
Manny has been avoiding the real challenges. If Roach was willing
to have Pac not fight Mosley when it counted, then why should
I believe that Roach and Arum want Pac to fight Floyd who dominated
Mosley? A guy that Roach wanted nothing to do with at any cost?
I'm not buying your logic.Comment

I know you're a Mayweather fan, and so am I. But, you can't just look at it from Mayweather's side of the coin. Mayweather is a phenom. And no one knows it better than Team Pacquaio. Mayweather-Pacquaio has been my dream fight for nearly a decade. I was calling for it when Money was the welter champ and Pac was at 130. And I was blasted on forums like this one for mentioning it because of how laughable a mismatch it was seen as. And just because the Pacquaio hype machine is in overdrive doesn't mean real fight people don't remember how laughable a mismatch this would have been seen as not too long ago. So no, I don't have a problem with Pac and crew not wanting to deal with Mayweather four months after busting his eardrum against Cotto. I have a problem with the excuses given. But, I also have an issue with Mayweather fighting once a year. Its understandable for someone who generates the money he does and has the health issues he does. But still, it annoys me. So even though I was annoyed at Team Pacquaio's stance, I understood it.I can't believe this is coming from you? Your saying that it was ok
