Even in his prime and at his fighting peak, Tarver would struggle against Haye who's faster and much more powerful than Tarver. If this fight happens, a fight that David will probably jump at, it'll be another blow out for Haye. Tarver is old, slow, and doesn't have the power to keep Haye honest.

I think Gayevid has found a perfect opponent - he fits all of the criteria Gayevid is looking for:

          "shot" - check

"came back from retirement or on the verge of retirement" - check

"not in the top 10" - check

"at least 10 years older" - check

"40 years old or older" - check

On paper Tarver looks like a perfect opponent for Gayevid. Let's get this fight hyped up and put in 3D, you know the Brits will pay for this.

You're right. Diva Ducker has found his dream matchup.

Too bad about Tarver, he is really good on Showtime as an analyst, but he should forget about boxing.

This will be a farce of epic proportions!

If haye took this fight or a holyfield fight, he would be a joke of a champ. The british media would love it though, they would definalt say haye is the best ever because he beat the man who beat tyson who beat holmes who beat Ali= thus making haye the GOAT
Tarver was damn good in his prime and IDK how Jones was weight drained when he got KTFO when it was over a year after the Ruiz fight, not mention many months after he came back down and fought Tarver while beating him narrowly the 1st time.

Haye is so untested and mostly smoke and mirrors that Tarver at 40 would be one of his top 3 wins.

Haye fought Harrison so anything is possible and if he took this fight it wouldn't suprise me but i think he may fight Holyfield.
