And for those complaining about his belt at 147.....come next fall, Manny will have effectively cleaned out the WW division.

If he beats Berto, and Floyd is retired/has legal issues......what other Top WW will there be left for Manny to face.

This is what I don't get about people claiming Manny isn't a legit champ considering he will have beaten all the top guys there.

Pac is doing his thing but that last one shouldnt count as much, it was like a freebie. Margarito had no business in a title fight so that alone tarnishes it for me. Let alone it was 4lbs below the weight, and neither fighter fought at the weight.

Fuck Cotto-Pac II, Cotto should stay up at 154.
I don't like Cotto vs Pacquiao II, but let's say they fight at 154....wouldn't that kill the argument of him being a legit champ at 154, as well as the excuse of him handicapping Miguel.

Just like Manny facing Mosley kills the argument of him ducking AA fighters as well as the year long flaming that Pacquiao was ducking Shane.

so i guess manny gets a pass for fighting at catchweights because he has to "test the waters" first.. even though he's fought and agreed to risk it with DLH at the WW limit.. smh

i guess if you are a champ and dangerous.. your ass is getting "catchweighted"

DLH was the cash cow of boxing and the gateway to stardom.

Even Floyd had to make concessions (basically gave into all of demands) when facing Oscar.

If Manny wants to be a legit champ at 154 he can fight Martinez.

Mosley's coming off a draw against Mora..

Cotto has no business at all fighting Pac again.

Well again I don't wanna see him face Cotto either but if people wanna complain about the first fight....why not?

But I agree on the Martinez fight. I wanna see it and hopefully it happens if/when Manny beats Floyd.

Cotto has gone up to 154 and picked up an easy belt off a feather fisted fighter in Foreman. Obviously Foreman does have some skills but he isn't one of the best at 154.

The main question of Cotto is punch resistance, which is why I'm happy he's fighting Mayorga next. However, Mayorga is a little by now and has been inactive for a while.

Maybe he's great at the weight and punch resistance is no problem at all. We'll have to see how he deals with Mayorga ( although I'm not going to take much from it ) but ideally Cotto should fight Martinez and then the winner fights Pac.

I hope that works out, as I love that scenario.
