Of course he is... Most white people will never see it (or don't want to see it) or notice that race is still a HUGE issue, but black people will always see it as such. Not blaming anything on the "white man" but if Mayweather was white, he would have been the king of kings in the media's eyes even with a bad attitude. Mayweather is the Best in the business and YES, he does need to return ASAP!

Yeah, he did say that. I say either he puts up or shut up. Like you,Honestly, forget Floyd. I respect the dudes skills but boxing doesn't need the bullcrap that he brings. I have no prob with him talking crap and building up a fight but if you're gonna fight then fight. None of this bull vacation crap. I remember when he came back he said he was coming for the top dudes and all i've seen since the Mosley win is a bunch of foolishness. So forget him, although I appreciate his skills boxing would do just fine without him.
I respect his boxing skills and I.Q in the ring but Floyd is hush about
boxing so why continue to bring him up? Hope he gets his act back
together and back in the ring but all in all boxing has to move on
and change it's direction a tad bit.Comment

I agree that the Floyd of old would have seen that right coming, floyd is done.
he is old
he will be 34 in a month.
he showed that his skills are detoriorating almost getting ktfo by shane in
round 2
no way an inactive fighter of 18 months out of the ring at 39 years old should do
what he did to floyd the best boxer in the world, if he was the best in the
world
floyd knows his skills are on the slide..
so he is done, he dont want it.
dipped or blocked it but it's not like Floyd never ate a solid
punch before and kept going. Corley and Judah comes to mind.
What Floyd did after was masterful at best. How many boxers
have you seen get hit by a couple of big punches by a solid slugger,
stay on his feet and close the round out strong and then dominate
the rest of the fight? I am pissed with Floyd as well for not fighting
constantly but no matter what meat head antics he does outside
of the ring, if your a true boxing fan, there should be no way to
deny this guy has talent and skills as a boxer/fighter. The funny
thing is that Floyd is not even talking about fighting but the whole
sport of boxing is talking about him. I say if Floyd ain't saying
anything, then we should just let him be until or if he feels like he
is ready to get back in the square. The only way everyone can
move on is to just shut up about him period and focus on the
active fighters/boxers.Comment

The funny thing is how everyone complains about him talking too much yet now they complain he's not talking enough. First he's scared for his life and that Mosley would destroy him. Floyd was such a coward to btw, then after the fact its.... o.....wellllllllll it doesn't count because Mosley's old and your ducking so and so...(magically Mosley is prime for Pac now though)I agree that the Floyd of old would have seen that right coming,

Point is no matter what he does he will be bashed. Think of how much hate he will get when he clowns Pac in the ring... If you think he'll get respect you have another thing coming. Once the myth of Pac having his number is proven false like every fighter he faces... people will bash even more ad think of Martinez, Berto, Pwill or someone at MW that he's ducking... It will never end until well after he retires (fact). Much like Ali or Tyson. IMO he will be THE most hated man in sports when he technically breaks down and clowns Pac in a very boring but brilliant game of chess while Pac's trying to play checkers...Comment

Pac. I would not bet the house on Pac beating Floyd if the fight
ever happens. There is a reason why Pac has been fighting the
same style fighter in his last 5 fights. Pac indeed the most
entertaining but any technical boxing style would give him fits
all day. Seen it with Morales and JMM. Pac can give as good as
he gets but Floyd is too much for him. If two flush power shots
to the grill from Mosley couldn't do, then I'm not convince Pac
will. Floyd is too defensive to let Pac hammer on him like the
others. With that said, I still believe if people really hate or
think Floyd is bad for the sport then they should just stop
talking about the guy and really move on. Right now, Martinez
is the man to beat in my eyes. He took on the toughest challenges
at short notice and prevailed. Floyd and Manny should take the
back seat to that guy. Guys who fight want to fight the best
and stay active should get more respect like the ol days.Comment

All "fans" want is too see is FLoyd lose and when that doesn't happen the cycle repeats itself. Its the same story different fighter every time. Its really old but as a fan of Mayweather's I've accepted this years ago.
Just funny how the "scared" and "coward" lines get used as if it hasn't been used before.
It reminds me of some young wanna be know it all kid attempting to tell me (a dj) that this "new" song/track on the radio is in fact NEW and that its completely original. Then I crush his self esteem and show him that his "new" release is just a remake of an old 70's classic... These kids who just started watching boxing is just about as annoying with there know it all attitude because they've been watching boxing forever (which means about 3-4 years at most which is most likely about a quarter of there life so that may seem like forever to them).
Not calling you a kid PULL, just saying that you cant truly believe that's all these "fans" want to see. It's like I said, they want to see him lose and when that doesn't happen the which hunt continues until they see it or he retires. It wont be until years after he's gone will he get respect. Much like Ali and Tyson.Comment

MJ was an ****** off the court and still isAll those individuals that you mentioned shared one common trait, they were charming. Michael Jordan would kill you on the court, but off the court he was articulate, charming and affable. Mayweather has none of those attributes. He markets himself as being "street", beefing with Rick Ross, riding around on a segway with his BFF. That only sells to a certain segment of the population and marginalizes his appeal. He's an ****** it's as simple as that. Journalists who criticize him, didn't all come together as one grand conspiracy to destroy Floyd, they just see what the rest of us see and it has nothing to do with skin color. I voted for ***** and so did the majority, in many places that were typically seen as white conservative strongholds, so why didn't it matter with him? Mayweather constantly brings up race because he suffers a persecution complex.Comment

Ducking is much worse than losing, believe it or not. The danger
here for Floyd is that he would remain as the boxer who ducked
Pacquiao. Funny thing is, these Mayweathers act as if the offer
is always there for them. Floyd Jr could at least have the decency
to end the speculation by announcing he would never fight Pac.
Pac may decide to retire after his fight with Mosley, win or lose.Comment
