Ok who the *** is this Mayweather anyway? Some of yall worship this ***** when he really has no high KO rating and really who has he fought?? Has he fought any high names besides Gatti, Mosely, judah??? De La Hoya?? Hatton??? Come on those fights were mostly 12 rounds anyway. Judah pretty much handled him right, Oscar did to ( my opinion won), Mosely well.. sorry to say but shoulda fought Mayweather years ago... which Floyd ducked... Hatton who HE KO"DDDD !!! OMG!!! in 10th round~! Cmon seriously why Floyd ?? Ya'll cant wait to see him handpick again and work them around 12 rounds??? Man seriously this sport is so much better without him. Pacquaio is atleast stickin with former champions and KO'ing them which makes it so exciting just to se him. Mayweather not so fun to watch zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. So **** this article!

Because he acts like a cnut. How can you not see this?

No one celebrates when an arrogant twat wins, why would they?

People respect what the achievements but they don't respect the person because the way he acts doesn't command respect.

          That's the bottom line.

There are some great black US fighters out there who are gentlemen outside of the ring, guys like Jermain Taylor, Shane Mosley, Tim Bradley and many more.

They don't try to act like disrespectful wannabe rappers, they keep it real to who they really are, and guess what, they don't get the hate Mayweather does.

Absolutely, we see examples in football with Cristiano Ronaldo whose arrogance and diving turned many off him despite him being the world's best player at one point. Ditto John Terry when his actions became clear. No one likes a cnut, no matter how good they are.

The only reason he is talked about is because he's America's No.1 boxer, but given he only fights once a year it says more about the competition (or lack thereof) from other US boxers than his ability.

theres no way in hell Floyd calls it quits. when he returns it will be against pac or martinez and either one breaks ppv numbers simply on the fact most want to see Floyd lose. whats interesting here is that by the time it happens the crowd might be 50/50 on who they want to see lose.

                Ui

Am I the only one that thinks boxing doesn't need mayweather anymore. Honestly I think mayweather is hurting boxing Right now cuz of his legal issues he's supposed to be the face of boxing but he lost that tittle alon time ago to Manny Pacquiao. When Manny retires the face of boxing tittle will belong to Juanma, Alvarez, Khan, JCCJR so in reality boxing doesn't need him at all. He really hasn't fought people in there prime and those who are he makes them go up in weight never will u see him go up n challenge someone in his prime at his weight or un weight higher. He fought Castillo n lost he fought DeLa**** and lost the only person he's really fought in his weight that I can say I was surprised was Corrales after that nothing

Mayweather needs to retire forever and dont ever comeback again... because he might lose to PACQUIAO... Mayweather Jr. is a great defensive fighter,,, but once Pacquiao's Left FIST reach him and hit him... he's done... he's world record and his Big Name will be meant to nothing... can you imagine Mayweather (41-1)...?

For the most part he's right but it's his delivery that brings controversy.
All those individuals that you mentioned shared one common trait, they were charming. Michael Jordan would kill you on the court, but off the court he was articulate, charming and affable. Mayweather has none of those attributes. He markets himself as being "street", beefing with Rick Ross, riding around on a segway with his BFF. That only sells to a certain segment of the population and marginalizes his appeal. He's an ****** it's as simple as that. Journalists who criticize him, didn't all come together as one grand conspiracy to destroy Floyd, they just see what the rest of us see and it has nothing to do with skin color. I voted for ***** and so did the majority, in many places that were typically seen as white conservative strongholds, so why didn't it matter with him? Mayweather constantly brings up race because he suffers a persecution complex.

So you are of the opinion that race has no part in the hate and critism that PBF receives from some in the media and fans?
