Mr. IMDAZED....sorry but I know a number of people from a number of races that were HUGE fans of Ali in the 60's and 70's and now. And I saw the other side of Roy Jones when he was an amatuer and a pro and he and Leonard were among my top 4 favorite boxers. But Mayweather is a fool and like I said, has the charm of a ****HOUSE rat. Jones was endearing with his Pensacola in the house and his style and there is a cool man below the surface.

The key is looking past a facade. The problem is Mayweather has become his facade. Hamed was ****y as hell but there is a LONG list of people he did great things outside the ring for....his charities have been endless. You DO NOT gain fans by saying you are greater than Ali and Robinson!!!!!! Mayweather did just that. I was a HUGE Mayweather fan for 10 years!! Till he turned bad.

Exactly. People think you must not like me because I'm black, purple or green. Truth is no one likes you because you're an ******. Harder to face reality I guess. Mayweather is a bad stereotype, unfortunately a large number of people look up and idolize that stereotype and it's sad.

Rex Ryan enjoys "regional" fandom. No one outside of his immediate circle/region cares if the guy sneezes.

You can say the same about Floyd today. There are a number of people from all races who are a fan of him as well. However, by and large, most people thought Ali was a ****y ******.

IMDAZED - There are many people who liked Ali back then but cannot stand Mayweather now. And even if not, there is NO WAY Mayweather will be beloved like Ali from ALL races. It comes down to one havine charm, humor, a wit, style about him and the other being the antithesis of those things.
