No and they shouldn't neither should Floyd. I personally think being street smart is more important than being educated and I'm educated. Yes Floyd is a jerk sometimes and not the most articulate or classy dude in the world but if the same kinda guy was white and 41-0 and as accomplished would it matter? History says it wouldn't.
I'm not saying that he represents AA's. I wasn't the one who brought race into the discussion, you did. I just offered a counter point. Streets smarts count for a lot, but so does working your way through the university system and thinking your way through life. I think if a white person carried themselves the same way as Floyd, they too would be marginalized to a certain segment of the population. With respect to Palin/Bush, that has more to do with politics and ideology. If Mayweather himself brings race into the discussion, which he has, then he leaves himself open for criticism.

[QUOTE=tredh;9904168]It doesn't matter what community a person marginalizes themselves with racism is racism. I don't have any friends other than black people but does that mean people of other races should be racist towards me? The funniest part of this **** a lot of yall say proves some of yall speak on **** yall don't know because PBF does nothing that is "hood" or "gangster". Flashing money and talking **** ain't "hood" or "gangster" you know why cause people from all races and backgrounds do it. May not be all done the same way but they all do it. Most educated people and uneducated people know that one person doesn't set the bar for any culture. I agree some of the stuff he does he does bring that on himself no doubt about it. But I asked this in another thread I will ask you the same. Name me just ONE trash talking, flamboyant, arrogant rich black man that white america has ever embraced and loved?

With respect to the bold...thank god people don't embrace douchebags who carry themselves like ******s.

I am a big PBF and don't agree with everything he does just can't do it cause dude does some things that are just flat out wrong.

It's like America says "how dare you talk trash and be arrogant when we allowed you to become rich and famous, you should be humble, forever gracious and soft spoken always.

Yeh but why is being humble and/or gracious viewed as a negative? What do you always have to be militant about everything?

Basically you can't name one. But you can name plenty of white men who act and acted that way who white america loves and embraces.

I'm white and I don't embrace ANY arrogant rich whites or blacks unless I see a style about them (Ali) or I have met them (Roy Jones). Ali was charming, affiable, intelligent, witty, and downright amazing. Mayweather is DULL, not at all funny, and about as charming as a ****HOUSE rat!! Mayweather tries his best to exude the gangsta image. He would rather be feared and respected than liked.

Nobody is viewing that as a negative. It that is a person make-up then fine but if it isn't that is fine also.

But you don't see a problem when america villifies a black man for acting that way but basically shows love to a white man who does the same?

And dont ANYONE try to downplay the fact that he DID beat a woman and frightened his kids. THAT is why he is facing 8 charges and up to 34 years behind bars. He won't spend that but has comitted an act of violence against a woman. In this country we don't allow that. Any THAT ****** to chance that much jail time is an arrogant fool.
