Steward or Roach would be good for Williams. But he would have to be willing to listen to a different voice and be disciplined enough to work at developing a new style.

As someone who was the first person who interviewed Paul Williams before his fight was Walter Matthysse, and has trained with him in 6 of his training camps, I can say without a hint of doubt in my mind that Peterson will NEVER consent to bringing someone else into Williams camp. If he lets ANYONE into camp to help Williams, it was be Adrian Davis. Peterson is Williams trainer, manager AND father figure. People need to stop writing these articles because it is a waste of bandwidth

Why is team williams even considering to fight sergio martinez?

This is the guy who's had plenty of opportunities but has never capitalized on some occasions then rants on to say all the big names are avoiding him.he got exposed against quintana fighting a leaky defense and got beat on the inside which was the key.fine.he got even the next fight.then, imo in the first encounter with martinez he lost, comes back again to only come up way short.lets face it, whether it was suspect defense, being overaggresive,or getting burned on the inside paul williams is no clutch boxer at all.

I can be one of the few that can say williams busted his body in the gym and i respect him for what he gave

I swear these authors are reading member post on NSB because I made the suggestion on an earlier article that Williams needs to get a new trainer. Although I suggested Emmanuel Steward because he knows how to get the best out of a taller fighter. Like he did with Wlad. Make no mistake Paul Williams needs somebody to train him how to defend, and to stop fighting like a Mexican leaving his chin out there to be tapped.

I aagree that paul needs a new trainer but I would stay away from Martinez if I was him. In my opinion Martinez is 2 and 0 againts Paul. Martinez simply has Pauls number. Ohh!! and one more thing their was a little thing in the article about Paul almost Koing Martinez in their first fight??? WTF; Paul barely touched Martinez and he slipped. Martinez was the one that almost Koed Paul in the same round. Paul has never had much power, its his work rate that gets them.

Well I guess Williams should hang them up then, he sure as hell ain't going anywhere with Peterson. Paul has stopped progressing since the Winky Fight. If anything he has regressed a bit.
