Erm what you on about. JMM wants Pacquaio, if JMM gets passed Beerto then he earns the shot.

Katsidis and Juan Diaz do not earn you a shot at Pac at 147.
Katsdis lost to Juan and Cassamyor who was 38 and shot.
Juand Diaz lost to Nate and already got KO'd by JMM and lsot to Paulie.

Both of them are 135 fighters and not that good.

Heck if you have to war Katsidis to beat him, then how is he going to beat Pac at 147?

True indeed PK, Kats is limited as a fighter, but his heart makes up for alot of his shortcomings in regards to skill. But overall I agree with you with the bolded.

Yea he's not gonna get 60/40 with a name like Cotto. Cotto's fan base is too large for Berto to get that type of deal, and before Cotto ventured off into 154 I would've said 55/45(Cotto)was indeed fair, just off what Cotto has established throughout his career. But if we look at his recent performances(Last 6 fights)then I see why Berto jumped so high. Also did Arum counter-offer? Uncle Bob is known not to provide any counter-offer's(deading negotiations)if the initial figures sound off to him.

Its a good fight that everyone wants to see. I think its a toss up and winner surely get a shot at pac.

Why jmm? he is a LW for goodness sake. Why not clottey or zaveck? they are Berto's own size and can give him good competition..

Agree with this post,I would even be ok with Berto fighting Citron or Paul Willaims if Willaims does go back down to Welter weight,but don't fightany more light weights or Jr wlter weights. It is time Berto fights some figters that would bring him name value and raise is profile to the average boxing fan

Berto should step up and fight someone bigger like Martinez or cotto if he thinks he can't get the fights at WW..even Clottey would be a decent fight but guy always seems to be associated with lookin to fight smaller people

I don't blame Berto for coming out and saying he would fight JMM! Why not, it's probably the most money he could make right now outside of Pacquiao and Mayweather. Personally, I think the welterweight limit is way too big for JMM but he has way superior skills than Berto which might even out the playing field a little bit...
