The difference is Mayweather is hiding and completely inaccessible to the press. The reverse is true for Arum, Pac, etc. Of course, people will keep asking about the fight.

There is only one way to stop these questions from being asked if Floyd announces that he will never fight Pac. It won't go away overnight but fans will move on eventually.

effort but Arum is trying to make us believe that he wants to make

That's not how it went. Team Mayweather were in contact with Matthew Hatton after the Marquez fight. Nobody knows why the change of heart with Floyd. Maybe the Cotto fight scared the hell out of Floyd.
