If that is the case, then don't give an opinion on the subject that you refuse to research about. Just ignore the thread.

Exactly it's ridiculous to even say pac's can even hang with a beast like SRR. Just go away this thread is a failure of epic proportions.

Its just a ridiculous comparison. Robinson beats him and possibly kills him.

Carmen Basilio was just like Pacquiao in terms of height and reach. But he was orthodox, and was much slower than Pacquiao. He was also less versatile strategically. In this fight Robinson was a bit past his prime but still great. He must have been 10% off his peak for this fight which was at middleweight. Put the Pacquiao that beat Cotto, Clottey, and Margarito in the movie in place of Basilio. And no, videos of the flyweight fights with Torrecampo don't count since Pac was only flyweight and far from his prime at the time. Pacquiao easily destroys Sugar Ray if in the same ring this fight.

10% off his peak? WTF? No he was a very past prime fighter. Already in his mid 30's. Already had around 150 fights. I think it is safe say to call that version or Robinson an old fighter. And, he had retired earlier in the decade already after the Maxim fight and cameback 3 years later I believe if I'm not mistaken.

So no your theory doesn't work.

And, even then is Pac going to fight and an old at the very least a past prime fighter at MW?

Now, I know why he responded to you all crazy cuz of this type of post.

In his 20's SRR only lost once in like his first 130 fights. And, that was against an ATG MW who weighed above the MW limit while SRR weighed under the WW limit and Pac going to stop that man in 6? When it took him longer to stop Diaz, Cotto, and Oscar? He couldn't even stop Margarito or Clottey but is going to stop SRR in 6? Come on man, you serious?

I doubt you watched a lot of SRR fights...And, there are not too many WW fights of SRR out there where he was at his absolute best. Almost all his footage is when was at MW somewhat past prime already.
