How can you make a big deal about 10-17 pounds yet when somebody mentions a REAL threat that would outweigh him by 10-17 pounds its he's "too big", that's like saying Pac must select who he fights that will out weigh him that much, Like a very very very dehydrated De La Hoya or a Margarito who's a cheater, or a 40 year old Mosley, let alone a punching bag never has been Top Rank "fighter" who doesn't fight in Clottey who's last known win was vs Judah. All subpar "bigger" fighters that outweigh him. Those are PERFECT examples of "picking and choosing certain fighters AT certain weight classes AT certain weights".....
If Pac bombs another PPV (compared to Floyd's #'s) I doubt Floyd will ever agree to a 50-50 split if they actually ever start talks again. We all know for a fact that Arum doesn't like to deal with anyone outside his stable let alone GBP's and certainly not the man that fired him (Mayweather) to make tons of money when he said Floyd couldn't do it. Arum already protected Cotto once from Floyd a few years back. What makes people think he's behind the scenes protecting Pac (for now) from Mayweather. Its one of the cases as why risk it now when it will always be around later. Get the most now before getting Pac in the ring with a true threat. Arum knows Mayweather better than anyone. Its not hard to understand WHY talks is so difficult, let alone getting Pac in the ring with the best, let alone a non Top Rank fighter.Last edited by WESS; 12-21-2010, 02:11 PM.

This sounds about right. 24/7 showed that Mosley had a little trouble making 147 for the Mayweather fight. He came in at the full 154 for the Mora fight. Since Pac has belts at welter and 154, Mosley probably asked could they do it at 154. Roach said no way. Arum then b*tch slapped Roach reminding him that without Mosley, they'll probably have to fight Martinez or JMM. Roach (holding his face) then reminded Arum that even though Mosley looked like **** all of last year, he still beat the living hell outta Margarito who they claim just gave Pac the toughest fight of his career. They then put their heads together and this is what they came up with. I won't be surprised at all if this actually happens.
BTW, I could have sworn when Martinez was saying that he was willing to come down to 154 to fight Pac for his belt all of the Pacwh*res were claiming Pac was vacating that paper trinket. I guess vacated that trinket much like he agreed to the USADA testing in the last negotiations/non-negotiations with Mayweather.

Again, that is nothing new as everyone has said this about Pac when fighting "bigger" fighters but now make a big deal because Martinez (a legit top JMW) said it? Its not Martinez's fault HOW Pac was "handed" (plaster free) the title AT JMW. Just like it wasn't Pac's fault that De La Hoya was a zombie. Pac still won the fights. The point is, Martinez VS Pac for the JMW title IS a legit fight.
I'm a huge fan of Martinez and he is no more MW than Pac is a JMW. The very same title Pac is holding and possibly defending (vs a WW) is the very same title Martinez held until this past June 2010. Martinez in fact deserves a fight with Pac more than ANYONE if Pac chooses to fight AT JMW. The BASIC boxing rules state that as long as neither fighter comes in over the maximum weight limit of that division its legal. In this case as long as neither come in over 154 it wont be a problem. That's if Pac so chooses to defend his JMW title. Martinez CAN make 154 because again he's a career JMW and also stated he could and would after he said he could only make 155.
Anyway Bradley and Alexander yes should be fighting the best in there respected weight class but then so should Pac. Maybe both should start doing so. Alexander and Bradley are fighting each other, that's a start. What's Pac doing? Fighting Mosley and possibly at JMW? I know you said its a shyt fight and I think it is too, but I guess Mosley AT 147 is better than JMM AT 147. That still goes back to my point of "picking and choosing certain fighters at certain weight classes AT certain weights.
With the catchweight issue, Pac's problem is how he goes about it. Catchweights aren't that bad until you start picking and choosing certain fighters AT certain weight classes AT certain weights. Just like how he fought De La Hoya AT 147 but DEMANDED that Cotto had to fight for HIS WW title at a "catch". Or "selecting" to fight a cheating 5'11 WW for a vacant JMW title. Or possibly now picking a shot 40 year old WW in Mosley to fight at a catch to defend his JMW title. Still no Martinez (5'10) who stands shorter than Margarito (5'11)?
Again this is avoiding the best at BOTH the WW and JMW divisions. I really hope this is just smoke and mirrors.
martinez will come in heavier than Margarito by the simple fact that Martinez cant make the same 150 pound weight so let me get this right. Martinez having a clear 20 pound weight advantage is a legitimate fight? He was a career 154 pounder, 2 years ago, and 3 middleweight fights later he no longer is and lets be honest dibella talkied him into saying he can make it. money motivates people into doing all kind of crap that the body can't handle. An if pac wins lets also not forget the obvious excuse that you and everyone would make. "Martinez was weight drained he couldn't make the weight anymore blah blah blah"!!
Pac has fought the best in his weigh classes in fact he's fought the best in several diffrent weight classes while the Bradley/alexanders are still working on their first. See the diffrence?
Cotto wasn't affected by the weight, Margaritos wraps are irrelevent to his fight with Manny and he made the weight easily and the de La Hoya thing was his own god damn fault. He wanted the fight it's real easy in hindsight that manny a lightweight at the time should of fought ODLH at the junior welter weight limit now but wh the *** was asking for that 2 years ago before the fight happened?

for Pac to be fighting Mosley at all is a disgrace in itself after his last lack-luster performance..
but to fight him at a catch weight of 148, for a 154 title is complete and utter bull****..
I would be ashamed to have a Pac sig, supporting such crap.
other than the *******s, why would anyone still support this paper champion..
