what you guys fail to realize is that a 45 / 46 year old man got robbed of history! Which inturn would have helped the sport out. I have yet to see anyone say pascal deserved victory or anything positive about the outcome of the fight. I even saw a post where someone tried to go over alot of the bad decisions that foreign fighters have had to endure coming over here - well that is wrong also! And by justifying what Bhop got over in canada because of the bad decisions some foreign fighters got over here is a child like approach to the problem! A man would have said this is what makes boxing bad. To people saying he needs to hang them up etc.. its not your decision. BHop looked better than Chad Dawson against pascal. Whenever Bernard Hopkins fights I watch it, because for a man at that age to destroy so many young fighters is amazing, and the look on Pascals face after the fight tells the story - he got his ass whoopped!!! he will not be the same after this, he dropped hopkins early because it takes awhile for a 46 year old man to warm up and acclimate PERIOD! dude hopkins out landed this dude in every round!

Just as I thought. A bunch of back lash about a decision where a fighter went down twice. The hardest thing to do in the ring is knock your opponent down or out. PASCAL managed to do that and remained in the fight the rest of the way. At no point during the fight did HOPKINS dominate this young man. STATISTICALLY, HOPKINS would have had do dominate every round after the third to even get a draw. Did he honetsly do that? No he didn't. PASCAL caught him with the cleaner more effective shots most of the fight. Very sneaky clean shots and that was the difference aside of the knock downs. HOPKINS fought gamed but he is OLD guys. Since when have you seen him repeatedly get hit with clean shots like that? He's lucky he wasn't K.O.ed to be honest. Who is he going to beat? PASCAL will win the rematch IF they fight again. I think you guys are more impressed with a 45 year old fighter going the distance with a champion, and that's what HOPKINS and RICHARD are impressed with as well. All he had to do is make it to the final bell, and he would claim victory just like he did. Talking about he "BEAT PASCAL UP". GET REAL MAN! It was a close fight but give the young man credit for staying clam and poised and being smart in there. HOPKINS didn't want to fight DAWSON because of his size and hand-speed I think. He knows he would get beat up so since PASCAL pulled off the upset, he thinks by beating PASCAL, he beat DAWSON as well. I DON'T THINK SO! PASCAL is not even a B-LEVEL fighter but he did what he had to do last night. Stop being biased all the time because of a fighters name, and what they was. HOPKINS is not what he use to be and should retire immediately.

He might not be what he once was, but @ the end of the fight the "old man" was the fresher of the two and deserved the victory! He simply outworked and won pretty much all the later rds

The Canadian judge only had a one point differance from the American judge. But the American judge got it dead right and the Candaian judge needs to get a new job? I really don't get it. So if the Canadian scored it one point differently he would be praised? Your talking about a one point differance and the Canadian was favored, which is expected.

The problem is when it happens in your home then the win is a win mentality comes out. Stop trying to be some wise prophet to boxing you're just a fan like the rest of us.

Yeah, when an American loses a close fight in some other country it's a robbery, but when the countless of foreign fighters who come to the US lose it was a close fight.

Ask Lucas Matthyse if he feels sorry for Hopkins losing a close decision.

Matthyse got robbed big time against Judah.

Or ask Sergio Martinez, who can't get the nod unless he shreds the other guy apart or knocks him out cold.

We never read an article on how those guys got robbed.

I completely agree with you. All those guys did get robbed and not one article was written in their defense. USA is as notorious for hometown decisions as Canada, Germany, Japan, and any other country you can mention. We are no better.

What about US credibility? How many foreign fighters have been jobbed in this country?

Ask Lucas Matthyse if the US has hometown decisions. Or Sergio Martinez for that matter.

I know there was only a round in it, so it can be disputed that a draw isn't a robbery as such, but I guess many feel that they were rounds clearly won by Hopkins.

He should've won the fight, when the judges were tallying up their score cards I was expecting a draw, given where the fight was held. Hops been robbed a few times now, such a shame for it to happen now in what should have been yet another defining moment.
