I want people to stop comparing Pacquiao with the all time greats. Manny is a great fighter, but not an all time great. I got caught up in the hype for a minute.But now that I've had time to think about it, Manny is great at beating handpicked opponents.Legends like Ali, Robinson, Hagler, and even Leonard fought whoever the best was no matter how difficult their style was. The legendary fighters knew how to adapt to whoever was in the ring with them.The fight might end up being ugly, but they would dig down deep and win. The last time Manny had to dig down deep was against Marquez who is an intelligent boxer who made Manny think in the ring. Notice, he hasn't fought that style fighter since.To be an all time great or legend of the ring, he'll have to beat Marquez in a 3rd fight. He will also have to face Mayweather,and Berto, the top welterweights.Beat them, then there is no arguement.Then, before he goes out, give an up and comer a shot at superstardom. Fighters like Bradley, Khan, and Maidana deserves the same chance that De La Hoya gave Manny and Floyd. The moves Arum is making for Manny will make him a very rich man, but not an all time great.

There are question marks and controversies over every single Pacquiao fight dating back to Morales, and there are also question marks over Pacquiao's refusal to submit to random blood testing.

But even forgetting about the OST issue, which is a ridiculous thing to say, the calibre of opposition is simply inadequate.

Manny does not fight the best, he does not clean out divisions, no skilled boxers or counter-punchers, no prime champions, in fact no opponents who are even on top of their game.

I actually give Manny props for the Cotto fight, even though Cotto looked done after Margo/Jennings/Clottey, and even though they tried to drain him on the scales..... but it is possible that JMM may be Manny's best opponent, in a fight that most of the world thinks that he lost.

It is a total fkn joke to hear Pacquiao compared with Moore, it's just absurd.

if Pacman will fight Mosley then Marquez should fight Berto or Khan to make him worthy challenger for Pacman remaining fights....Going back at 135 and fighting faded and shot Morales on his next fight is not doing him good on his possible fight against Pacman...Why make a statement at JR WW and WW and get in the mix with Khan, Maidana, Devon, Bradley, Berto and even Mosley....

this is the time for Marquez to fight the fighters at higher weight who also want to fight the great Pacman....Like Bradley, devon, khan, maidana, berto and even Mosley....if he beats any of these guys convincingly then he's worthy challenger for the great Pacman...Fighting faded and shot Eric Morales will not doing him good.....Best of the best at higher weight are fighting each other to have a chance for a dream fight with Pacman...Marquez staying in 135 fighting non sense fight is not the right path...Marquez should be in the mix with JR WW and WW to be worthy challenger.....

Mayweather is in problems with the law and surely not interested in fighting the pacman. Veteran mosley, with his old sterioids balco problems is not in his prime anymore. Berto is a brilliant unknown young fighter without a "name" who is an unnecessary risk for the filipino. So pacquiao should fight juan manuel marquez. Their fights were amazing, who has forgotten marquez down three times in the same round and each time coming back up and holding his ground with letal counter attacks? In fact, i am fan of manny, but think marquez won both fights (my opinion). So it should be a no brainer, the pacman should fight marquez and set the record straight. Only one problem: Marquez is promoted by oscar, the archenemy of bob arum, manny's promoter. That's why, most likely we will see the pacquiao vs mosley in may, because mosley wants to fight pacquiao without the golden boy. It will make it easier for the bobfather to arrange the fight. Even though mayweather clearly beat mosley we all know that mosley has been wanting to fight pacquiao (for the good money). Floyd showed to the world that mosley's speed is not there anymore. That's why friends, i'd love to see pacquiao vs marquez iii.
