The real champ was Lewis. He weighed around 250lb How is Roy a little Lt Heavyweight suppose to fight Lewis with that size difference. Back in the days of Bob Fitzimmons and Billy Conn the real champ weighed 200lbs or less so of course it is easier for them to fight the real champ. -
Is this the same Hagler who fought at Middleweight and wouldn't even fight Spinx at 175. Face it man Roy started off at 154 then Roy beat Hopkins at 160, Toney at 168 and Tarver at 175 and then moved up to fight Ruiz who weighed 226. Thats 66lbs.Originally posted by ThaGreatest_NKThat's why the fighters that care about money will never be known as greats but just overrated...
look at holyfield, morales, Thomas hearns, hagler, etc.
They are greats...they care for the sport...not the businessComment

Yup I agree with you.Originally posted by ThaGreatest_NKBob Fitsimmonz was the first fighter to go from middleweight champion to heavyweight champion in history...
Then Billy Conn fought Joe Louis at 169...and almost managed to beat the greatest HW of all time...
RJJ moved up in weight...instead of being forced to fight ONE champion, he got to choose between 4 of them....
He chose the biggest bum...
If there was always 4 champions in each weight class this record would've been broken over 70 years ago.Comment

"that guy" happens to be one of the best p4p hardest hitters in history and is considered the best bodypuncher ever. THAT'S how seriously you can take him.Originally posted by dinobob fitsimmonz did that when boxing was in its infant stages..it means nothing

that time of boxing realyl doesnt mean a ****ing thing since they only let white people fight for the titles. it was completely insane then, so who gives a **** anout bob fitzsimmons. they didnt even let blacks get a shot at the titles then so it wasnt like everyone was able to box that wanted to or at least for the title. jones did it in a much better division, and ruiz has beat holyfield, oquendo, rahman, and golota, yeah they were horrible fights but he beat them and theyre all good heavyweights but yet jones and toney embarrassed the hell of him and beat him easily.Originally posted by ThaGreatest_NKBob Fitsimmonz was the first fighter to go from middleweight champion to heavyweight champion in history...
