Roy Jones didn't make history! Bob Fitsimmonz record remains unbroken!

Bob Fitsimmonz was the first fighter to go from middleweight champion to heavyweight champion in history...

Then Billy Conn fought Joe Louis at 169...and almost managed to beat the greatest HW of all time...

RJJ moved up in weight...instead of being forced to fight ONE champion, he got to choose between 4 of them....

    He chose the biggest bum...

If there was always 4 champions in each weight class this record would've been broken over 70 years ago.

I remember when he beat Ruiz that he was only like the 2nd or third guy to be middle weight champ and move up to heavywieght. And the last time is was done was like 80 years ago or something.

Well why didn't another Middleweight do it when different belts were first created? If it's so easy.

Cuz 4 belts weren't always around...

and the division sucks ass today...

Can you name a heavyweight champ worse than Ruiz in the past 40 years?

Were the belts unified at the time in which Jones moved up? I don't recall, but I'm pretty sure they weren't... so they're really wasn't a "REAL" champ. He still moved up and still beat a heavyweight belt holder, regardless of all the what have you's. Not many others ever have, so I'd still say it's a good ****ing accomplishment.

It's a good accomplishment, but it's a discgrace to compare that to Bob Fitsimmonz..

Bob Fitsimmonz defeated the #1 heavyweight champion in the world...

Jones could've fought the best in Lennox Lewis...but he chose John Ruiz...

It was obvious that Lennox Lewis was the #1 heavyweight in the world..
                    I mean come on...

If people had this kind of chances, this record would have been broken SO long ago...
