rios is rios, pacquiao is pacquiao. 2 different people. about an 8 yr age difference 2. pacquiao vs mosley sucks but its a more dangerous fight then pacquiao vs any of the 140 pounders. jm marquez is a fight every1 wants but idk about him north of 135. pacquiao would destroy him i think.

Like what everybody said, Manny has the negotiation power to pick whatever weight he wants and he just chooses not to cut weight anymore.

I would love to see him at 140 though. I think at 147, he has the speed advantage over other opponents, but his power in 140 is just amazing! He only fought Hatton, but not only did he knock him out, he was knocking his sparring partners out at that weight.

pacquiao really doesnt need 2 lose anything at 147. thats close 2 his walk around weight imo. while guys like andre berto probably lose 20 pounds to make 147.

Nobody is forcing Marquez from weighing in at 140. Manny is not forcing him either. In fact, both of them will be between 145-148 the night of the fight. If Marquez finds it beneficial for himself to cut more weight before a fight, all the power to him.

What many seem to want here, is for Manny to make concessions and stress his own body in order to fight Marquez? Why would he do this at this point when everyone knows, including Manny that his "zone" is around 144-148.

But the thing is, Pac is the one calling the shots. The fight takes place at the weight he wants. Period.
according to Ariza no he cannot he said he has added on too much muscle mass but he can make 140 with relative ease

Because Manny doesn't have to, he'll draw 1m PPV buys fighting Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine. He doesn't need to do anything he doesn't want to.

                  Floyd still beats him though.
