I have issues with these fighters in the top 5:

Morales-I dont think I've ever seen Mayweather get hit as many times in Morales first fight Barrera. I was like where is the defense in the fight when I saw that fight. If you want a slug fest go to a bar and watch the drunks fight. I want a boxing match with some defense. Mayweather told Greg Leon that his eyes were bleeding after he watched that fight.

Wright-Boring as hell. A jab just doesn't do it for me. And the peek-a-boo defense is gay.

I would substitute Corrales and and Taylor.

I think those uys are undoubtedly the 5 best fighters in the world right now...and are definitely the best fighters in their given weight class (yes Hopkins is still better than Taylor ****ers)

With an iron chin and devestating punches, who needs defense? The man is 48-2 with his only 2 losses comming from the same person. Then you say you'd sub Corrales into his spot. Castillo/Corrales, oh man, that was a defensive fight if I've ever seen one.....

You go on to insult Winky than for being boring when he has one of the best defenses in all of boxing. I assume you're looking for a medium in between the two, but c'mon.

There is no way Rafael Marquez is top 5 p4p. OK, he beat Tim Austin, but what has he done since then? Nothing. His opponents since the Austin fight are Mauricio Pastrana X2, Peter Frissina, Heriberto Ruiz, Ricardo Vargas and he is scheduled to fight Silence Mabuza. These guys are bums, only a couple of them barely sc**** in as top 10 contenders.

            Huh?

Your forgeting his 2 wins over Mark Johnson who right after being KO'ed by Maqruez went on to defeat Fernando Montiel. Yes I know not since he fought Austin, but you cant just ignore 2 wins like that.

Frissina, Ruiz and Vargas were all legit top 10 guys at 118 and Vargas and Ruiz were top 5 guys.

Herberto Ruiz is a tough tough guy down at 118 he holds wins over Jorge Lacierva, Ricardo Vargas 2x and 2000 U.S Olympion Clarence Vinson. Herberto Ruiz is a stud and Marquez damn near killed him.

Pastrana is a former world champion and one of the toughest guys around.

Silence Mabuza just beat Cruz Carbajal to EARN that ttitle shot he didn't just roll out of bed and get it.

Its obvious you dont follow the little guys.

Garbageville. Gotta come with something better than that if you're taking issue with those guys being top 5.

Morales is arguably the greatest 122 pounder ever and is the greatest little guy of our era. He never puts on a bad show and only fights TOP NOTCH competition. Barerra/Hernandez/Chavez/Pacquiao/Espadas...all former or current champs in his last 5 fights and all very dangerous guys.

Lemme get this straight...you are knocking Morales for being too exciting and for not having a great defense and then you double back and knock Winky Wright for being TOO GOOD defensively? Ahahaha...

It's sad when the only thing you can say bad about a guy is that you don't like his jab and think his defense is gay.

Jose pretty much covered this post front to back. You obviously don't know what you're talking about here so refer to joses post for more info.

Everybody he's been beating since then are top 10 or top 5 guys. I agree he needs to take a big fight, but this guy is a dynamite fighter and will probably go down as an all time great bantamweight when everything is said and done.

Thats right JT would have gotten KTFO.
Hopkins is smart enough, he knows he cant fight the full 3mins anymore and he doesnt. All i know is that Hopkins learnt a few tricks from his fight with Morrade Hakkar.

The fight was scheduled for 12 rounds so if Hopkins was smart he'd know know you cant lose the first 6 and expect to win.

But if the fight was 15 rounds then Taylor could have fought a different fight, Taylor showed how inexperienced he was when he went on the defence after the 6th, he thought he'd defend his huge lead and try to steal a couple more round. if it was over 15 it would have been a whole different fight. But if they said after 12 round "guess what guys, you have to fight an extra 3 rounds", then Hopkins looked favourite to win.

Are you ****ing for real, personal feeling, i even say Hopkins was a very good fighter!! I liked Hopkins, he was one of my favourite fighters.

You should put YOUR PERSONAL FEELINGS aside a see how bad he's got. 2001/2002 Hopkins would have whipped Taylor, but 2005 looked scared of an exchange with him!!
