This "in the past" bull**** makes little sense. You're implying that athletes can't improve in their 20s!!!! They're not old dudes improving like Barry Bonds or Mark Maguire. Thanks Buffalo,
My point exactly, people act like Roach is above cheating, he has had fighters in the past get caught as well, but just like Fox news people will only tell one side of the story. The reason that this is a year old news is because I needed to see another boxing in Roach/Ariza camp before started putting 2 and 2 together. If it was just Pacq, then maybe he was a diamond in the rough that just needed to have his technique polished and some more training, and his "clitoris" gloves.
But to see A Meer Con do it as well and just shrugg off the damage is too coincidental. And yes he was rocked in the 10th, repeatly and yet he didn't go down, so I guess roach also showed him how to survive as well. RRRIIIIIGGGGHHHHHTTTTT. These are just my thoughts on a fight where I saw two warriors battle and I saw someone who had his jaw exposed in the past weather a hurricane from a fighter with a 90% knockout rate. Now maybe he can, or maybe he has a little extra help with his equilibrium....Comment

Obviously he watched another fight. Are you watching the fight? Its clear that Khan was back pedalling just to recover. And I really dont know if youre one of the believers that A-side Meth existed 500 years ago.
And mind you, Pac has been knocked down when he was a skinny kid and just starting as a professional and doesn't know what defense exactly mean.
Khan on the other hand IMO opinion developed the what you call "HEART" to survive thru the rounds. He was clearly hurt but boxing Maidana out just to recover.
He will do anything to discredit Pacquiao, Khan, Ariza and RoachComment

Kahn has tremendous heart no doubt about it, he fought like a champion but he isn't ready to take on Floyd Mayweather... He has work to do but that's just boxing... It doesn't mean he won't get any better...
The Peterson - Ortiz fight was a good fight, Victor should of finished Lamont when he could but he didn't and I knew in the end it would come out Peterson either winning or a DRAW...Comment

Good win for Khan. However, he still has improving to do defensively. I hope there will be a rematch.Comment

Why would Cortez be biased for Khan as opposed to Maidana? He wasn't exactly helpful to Amir's mate Ricky.
The breakups were because it was getting messy, they were tangled, and Maidana wasn't standing back hitting which would be ok, he was throwing himself on Amir, holding and hitting. Referee's are quite right to break up these and some do more than others. Would you like to see a KO as a result of holding and hitting or crashed heads? I bet you would if it favoured Maidana. Whose biased then.
As for the point deduction, I think it may have been for the blatant elbow Maidana threw behind him to hit Khan which instead brushed onto Cortez. Any ref would deduct a point for that esp when there were buts and other offenses occurring.
i agree the fight was getting a lil messy. i think the point deduction for the elbow was completely valid. but cortez was way too quick to break up the fighters when they were tangled. when they were in the clinch it was khan doing most of the holding. even the announcers noticed that khan was holding while maidana was hitting, but cortez would still break them up. if khan is holding one arm, maidana is free to hit with the other arm (see lewis vs. klitscho for an example). and i dont think maidana was throwing himself on khan, khan is taller w/ a longer reach, maidana had to rush in to get in range. thats just how i saw it. great fight thoughComment

He threw a goddamn ELBOW!!! Wtf did you want Cortez to do, let Maidana continue his dirty antics and get out of control? He had to punish him at some point. Not even Smoger would put up with elbows and rabbit punches, get serious man.Comment

"A little more conditioning"?! When will you guys stop demanding an ungodly amount of strength, heart, speed, reflexes, and anything else from these guys?! Maidana AND Khan put on one heluva show last night, but you just shrug it off as if Cortez and Maidana's "lack" of conditioning were the deciding factors. So according to you, what role did Khan play in this fight?Comment

Exactly. I thought Khan and Maidana are the best at 140lbs, and last night's fight supported that notion. I'd like to see them attempt to clean up the division before the rematch comes along, making the wait that much sweeter.I have always been a big maidana supporter and he put up a great effort against khan. If anything that fight showed me that both guys are bad asses and i would like to see a rematch down the road. Maidana was sooo close to knocking him out in the tenth. Couldn't believe Khan held on. I used to despise Khan but thats the kind of performance that wins fansComment

So you're trying to say that Khan is a hype job, with no chin and nothing more than handspeed? Funny how he was able to put Maidana down in Rd 1, not to mention outbox him for about 6/7 Rds. GTFO of here. Please. For the sake of boxingscene.should not have been a win for khan, he started great but then got his ass kicked the scores were ridiculous, even a drw but a unanimous win??? thats just soo wrong. maidana is the goods not khan, khan wont ever be elite hes too damn chinny, good handspeed nothing more hes a hype job.maidana was robbed ugly.he took over he sustained far less damage he scored the more meaningful shots and frankly had khan practically out on his feet all I saw was khan runnung away backing up for his life in second half that to me isnt what winners are made of.Comment
