Wow. I've always like Lamont Peterson but I even thought that Ortiz would overwhelm Peterson. It was a toss up fight. They each displayed effective pressure, whereas I think Peterson had a heavy advantage in the countering department. Stellar match though!! They each need more stage.

Peterson showed same heart he showed against Bradley. 2 great fights where he came back from knockdowns.

wow draw!.............................ortiz needs a change of trainers fast....he doesnt know how to control pace at all.....and he has no cageyness/craftiness.......

he needs a good , high maintenance , hands on trainer.


someone that has to give SPECIFIC instructions. not generic ones.

he needs a trainer that will tell him how to fight , what to look out for , etc. on a round by round basis.


ortiz has good power , size , strength , etc.

he just doesn't have good boxing instincts.
