Peterson was catching Ortiz all night with those counters though, other then the 3rd...Ortiz really didn't look impressive at all, after the 3rd it was Peterson landing the harder and cleaner shots

Didn't score the bout (usually never do on first watch - always better the second time) but I thought Ortiz closed the tenth nicely to eke it out. Either way, it looked like he lost the majority of the rounds. His defense really needs work or else he's going to end up staring at the lights against some of the better fighters in the division. I think Bradley flattens him. Possibly Khan too. Still, Peterson is a tough opponent and Ortiz did well here.

I had Peterson winning 8 rounds. IMO, that 10-7 round was bad for Ortiz cause every round after that Peterson did better so the judges looked at that.

Lamont Peterson had that fight but he let it go. After round 6 he was landing everything he threw and looked extremely sharp; he just didn't let his hands go enough. I thought he was, on numerous occassions, one or two punches away from hurting Ortiz but he just let up...
